What is a good buy for a basic Windoze laptop, to be used for basic surfing, Word etc. I am thinking probably a pretty low spec model will suffice, and my inclination would be just to get whatever's cheap at PC World or whatever, but are there any good buys, or alternatively, bad buys out there?
A friend recently had a cheap buy from PC World and it's not a bad spec ASUS jobbie.
Does everything she wants and was £399. They did have some clearance ex display stock in as well that was cheaper so worth going in to a few stores to poke around.
There are some recycled laptop websites around that will sell stuff a lot cheaper if you have a google.
