It's time to get a new work laptop, budget between £1500-2000K.

I commute by bike each day so it needs to of a reasonable size to fit in my backpack, and obviously fairly light as well.

OS wise I am fairly agnostic, happy to go with either Mac or Windows. Battery life would need to be 5-8 hours I reckon.

Don't want a tablet as it doesn't fit my needs.

What do fellow STW commuters use?

Cheers

More than one computer so I never need to carry it around. Cloud or memory stick/portable hard drive to carry files I needed on me.

Wow, are you using something like Autocad to need a laptop that's that expensive? For that (& general pc use/faffing, office) I'd buy two i7's, and a USB drive, leave one at work and one at home.

Seriously that seems a lot of money, but then I don't buy Apple laptops. I'd look into buying a 2nd 'bigger' battery to get the life you need.

With that budget and if you have an external monitor at home and work I'd be getting a 13" Retina screened MacBook Pro. In fact that's just what I have so would recommend it very highly!
