road jeans for the win! baggier the better. jumbo cords and phat pants are my fave.

I`ve got some next ones but they fit horrible and make me feel like a grown up wearing them. i hate them.

A pair of bootcut jeans from Dorothy Perkins which, like every other pair of ladies jeans, don't fit properly due to my freakish body shape. I have a monsterous arse and thighs, but a small waist, so I end up with inches to spare around the waist, which get all rumpled and bunched up when I wear a belt. Even the Gap curvy jeans are too wide around the waist. :/

I either need liposuction on the legs, or to try and pack more weight around the middle. Or to wear more skirts. -_-

It's funny how some people seem to confuse "massively geeky" with "cool" when it comes to jeans.

If you try too hard, you fail.

A very nice pair of Hiut Denim straight cut.

Selvedge denim too.

Coming up for six months old- nearly time to wash them!

Had worn 512/527's for years but it seems that Jeremy Clarkson has switched from Tesco Dad jeans to bootcut so..........

It's selvedge 511's with big turnups for me now.

Mrs Toast, my boss also has a narrow waist - try Next jeans, which seem to be the only ones which fit that shape.

I'm rocking the Wifes old maternity jeans, with the humungous spandex wasteband thing.

Levis 758, loose fit, off t'bay. Older versions tend to be rather more hard-wearing.

The last three pairs of jeans I've bought are these: http://shop.uniqlo.com/uk/goods/070931
Love them, they're just like Levi's of old, but with no decoration at all, other than a leather patch with a number at the bottom.
The sizing needs to be checked carefully, though; I tried some of their UJ denims in the London store, as they didn't have the selvedge ones linked to, and I wanted to be certain. Damn glad I did! I usually take a 32x34, but the 32 I tried wouldn't go over my ass, and I'm not fat! Tried a 34x34, and they were perfect, so that's what I ordered online.
Chuffed to bits with them, they're comfortable, though pretty stiff to start with, and that lovely, slightly musty, pure indigo smell. Great jeans, with nothing fancy, no stupid stitching, rips, buttons or any of that rubbish, just classic, well-made indigo denim.
There's some better photos here: http://www.ilovejeans.com/blog/mens-room-japanese-premium-selvedge-denim-at-69-90-at-uniqlo/

I get loads of stuff from uniqlo but their jeans didn't fit me right. The waist felt really tight and stiff, was just uncomfortable. A size up would mean the legs would be too baggy I think.

The current trend of lower cut waists is causing me no end of trouble to my ego - I've just had to buy my first pair or 36 inches, since the 'waist' now effectively is the hips and the size of my arse now has to be taken into the equation.

I've got to wear a belt again too, because the waist gapes when I bend over, and at 38 I'm too old for the cleavage shot I feel.

😳 😯

black straight cut from Wrangler, Lee or Matalan. I'm not fussy. as long as it's not blue denim. I hate blue denim on my short fat legs, haven't worn denim since I was 18, which is nearly 30 years ago

Straight leg, low-ish waist, fitted cut. Decent boots / shoes / brogues to finish.

Boot cut screams stuck n the 1990s. Skinny screams eat some food and do some exercise.

And why has short leg suddenly become 30" - too long by a couple of inches for my stumpy little legs and I can't stand having the legs all bunched at the bottom. Any recommendations for a proper short leg much appreciated. Did get a pair of River Island jeans turned up at a local shop but the guy was such a smart arse attitude I vowed to never go back there.

Slim, last skinny pair didn't fit my Hoy-esque thighs. Or something like that.

cut? Is that related to the cheapest jeans ASDA do? Because if it is, that's the one I'm rocking generally.

for turnups. either roll or the neater single fold, or just get them shortened for a fiver at the local dry cleaners. it's only decent selvage denim that's worth getting chain stitched with exactly matching thread at somewhere like the denim doctor.

Hiut straight selvedge here. Whoever else up there has Hiut selvedge - leave them longer than 6 months if you can (clearly aimed at first time raw denimers) - the longer you leave raw denim the better. My previous pair got their first wash at 24 mths (The Flathead F38s), lots of airing, febreeze inbetween, but no actual wash. First wash was cold with no detergent.

Regular visits to the freezer is supposed to be a good way of keeping raw denims from minging. Bit like a Camelbak bladder.

Yep I freeze mine every couple of weeks, and don't keep them in the wardrobe with the rest of your clothes.

You're allowed to wash your testes, just not your jeans. I wear these marvelous things called pants that separate my genitals from my trouser wear. I wash my pants often.
