Just mulling over a new tablet for my son as his nook is on the blink a bit.
Ideally, we'd get an iPad mini but it is out of budget.
Plan B is an iPod touch as these do seem quite large now.
Thanks..
Not entirely sure on price now, but I got an nVidia Shield for exactly £150 and it's bloody superb.
+1 for that (which is why I bought one).

It looks as if the Nvidia Shield K1 is no longer made and quite hard to get hold of; is successor seems to have been cancelled by Nvidia!
If the budget could stretch, Apple do refurbed Minis for £189 (16GB) and £199 (32GB)

That nvidea does appear unavailable.
Good shout in the iPad mini, just a but concerned that it might soon not be supported on iOS upgrades and apps become useless.
The daughters iPod touch is now gathering dust on the apps because of this.
Any other?
