Camembert with a little garlic and white wine. Put it in the oven for a short spell and serve with crusty bread.

Almost as good as eating it uncooked, without garlic or white wine.

Did you hear about the cheesemonger who painted his wife twice?

Did you hear about the cheesemonger who painted his wife twice?

Did he leave a small patch unpainted so her skin could breathe?
Or did she die?

I love Tallegio, even if the rind does actually smell of dog shite.

Late to this, a good Caerphilly is wondrous and the Brie I got from the Dorset Larder for Christmas was stunning.

Yorkshire Blue for something with a bit of fight - smoother and creamier than Stilton. For a more relaxing nibble - Brie.

As an aside did you know there are more types of cheese of UK origin than any other country in the world.

Did you know a connoisseur of cheese is known as a turophile?

For that, I prefer Garstang Blue, which has the added benefit of being from Lancashire.

There's a dairy near us that does a smoked brie which is really very good. I can eat a substantial amount of it in one sitting, to the point of feeling a little ill.

Black Bomber, I love the way it sometimes hurts your mouth when eating...
