Looking for a case to protect my new iPad which was an Xmas present.

Something to protect scratches and scuffs etc and marks on the screen. Is there a particular make to look at?

I have a DODO Case - www.dodocase.com - and I love it. Makes the iPad pretty much indestructible and somehow looks better as it ages through a LOT of use!!

Expensive but then so was your iPad...

i researched this when i got my ipad and in the end went for the case from Apple as it fits snuggly and is good quality. Yes it may be more expensive than the others but feels like it will last ages.

If you're after a bombproof transport case then a Peli 1065CC is definitely worth looking at - I spent a couple of weeks travelling around Lao and Vietnam last summer on local buses and my iPad 2 survived it all thanks to this case; thorough testing showed that it is crush-resistant and waterproof and it floats too.

Had the iluv origami which looks quite cool, puts the stand in varying positions but doesn't provide much protection.

Went for one of these to replace and so far so good. http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/19517437/524275469/DURAGADGET-Rotating-Leather-Case-For-iPad2-Apple-New-Latest-Generation-iPad-2-Stands-in-Portrait-And-Landscape-/ListingDetails.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518%7Ccat:19517437%7Cprd:19517437

My mum has one of these veo cases on her iPad...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VEO-Black-Ultra-Slim-Full-Body-Smart-Case-Cover-for-The-New-iPad-4-Sleep-Wake-/200843538794

Nice and slim and also has the magnet on/off feature.

I would have been tempted to get one for my Nexus 7 if I hadn't just got an Asus case from Santa.

£9.99 each!

After I bought myself some G-Form Elbow Pads and was very impressed with them, Miss P bought me one of these for my iPad for Xmas:

Pretty pricey but an impressive demo video!!

I use one of these: http://www.sourcedlife.co.uk/collections/accessories
Mine's a bit brighter coloured, red, yellow and black, but it all depends on what truck tarp they get. I like it, it doesn't have any kind of stand, but I'm not fussed about that; it offers good protection when it's in my bag, and that's all that matters to me. It's lined with wool felt, and it keeps it from getting scratched.
That's it, nowt fancy.

Armor dog or normal smart cover?

I've got both here - changed my mind after ordering one, but they both arrived on the same day.

I'm sending the hardshell Armor Dog back in favour of the folio-style 'Smart Cover' (also branded Armor Dog).

It feels nicer, offers a bit more protection (I think) and is still slimline in comparison to other such cases. Feels really good quality and looks smart too.
