Can be anything - bike or non-bike.

The coolest stuff I've picked up in the last year or so has to be:

- Tacx Flow 2200 turbo + PC TTS upgrade - Superbly well constructed plus excellent software for creating/tracking routes and stats etc.
- Shimano XC50N shoes - Really comfy and suitably waterproof for all but serious downpours.
- Meindl Burma walking boots - Cracking pair of boots that turn you into a Transformer.
- Paramo Aspira jacket - Awesome piece of kit for walking/running/biking in all but that absolute worst of conditions.
- Kindle Paperwhite - Didn't think I'd get on with it but TBH it's brilliant. Always thought the page turning e-ink flicker was a turn-off but it's actually not an issue.
- Spesh Hotwalk for SM jnr - Super little balance bike and really well made.
- Lenovo Ideapad Y580 - Seriously rapid laptop that handles everything thrown at it = well impressed.

Can't think of anything else right now.

What's on your list of cool stuff?

Always wanted a 'nice' watch. I got left some money in my grandma's will so thought I would treat myself. It will always be a reminder of them 🙂

Well after watching the documentary on BBC1 last night, what I really want is a penguin! Or 2. Preferably a Rockhopper one with the funky ears.

They're proving quite difficult to source though

3 alnico magnet high output single coils on my strat, made it sound like a new guitar, brilliant! And surprisingly cheap.

Caravan

Olympus E-420 for my wife. Yes it's old in camera terms at least, but it's only three actual years old. It was in perfect condition, it's brilliant to handle and use because it's so small but perfectly formed, and she loves it 🙂 And it was only £120!

A Garmin Edge 500. Now I feel like a Pro, shame I can’t ride like one. But chuffed to bits with it.

The North Face Nimble Jacket - great lightweight jacket, wanted one for ages and picked it up as a bargain

Arcteryx Merino Beanie - fleecy round the ears but thin wool on top so its warm but not too hot

Both great bits of kit that I make look decidedly uncool when I put them on

Also a Sugoi Zap jacket in bright orange for commuting. Last commuting jacket I bought was a Nike for £15 off Ebay and it lasted a good 10 years. So hope this sexy number serves me as well.

Quite fancy a GoPro 3 but heard too many bad experiences.

That a57 looks nice but can't justify the cost 🙁

Well not bought, exactly, but acquired (given):

A 2004 VW Polo SDI Twist.

Doesn't sound cool, I know, but I have driven a T4 for the last 8 years, and getting behind the wheel of an impeccable little run-around is a hell of a lot of fun.

Ticket to the viewing floor of the tallest building in Hong Kong, Sky 100, lift takes you up a 100 floors in one go in sixty seconds and the view, the view was something else!

If you ever lucky enough to visit Hong Kong, do it twice once during the day and once as the sun sets, you will not be disappointed 😉

Rab Generator vest - not sure why I bought it as I'm not a big fan of gilets, but sooooo glad i did. it's small, not big puffy down thing and wears easily under a cardy or jacket and it packs down into it's own pocket. toasty.

2 first class train tickets from Milan to Paris for £75 (for both). Not bought yet but will be soon - 2 tickets on the Bernina Express

Karcher dont even advertise it as capable of doing your car. I just have and it's brilliant. I guess they want to get you to spend much more than the £80 that this one cost. Bloody ace, and even gets Herefordshire Clag-o-gunk off.

also one of these. Smaller than my normal saw for lighter work in the coppice. A bargin for £150.

Yep. Can guarentee that the warm weather will arrive on 11 March this year, they day our stove is fitted. We will then have a nice stove sat unused for 6 months or so until winter comes round again. 🙄

One of these, The wife insisted that whatever I bought you had to be able to just put a cd in and play it if you wanted to. I'ts pretty good, a lot better than the Brennan as it's got a web interface for editing and it's got internet radio. It will also stream to Sonos units or you can use more of these without a hard drive.
