Finally properly bled front brake. Shame about the fluid I got on the pads, mind. Score draw.

Seeing as "today" in the title was yesterday, I helped build a bridge over a ditch on a nature reserve in Yorkshire.

But today "today" I did Christmas shopping with the missis (points in the bag)

Did approx 35 miles on the Chase today which is not too shabby considering its only 26 sq miles. Did all the official trails - some bits twice - and some off piste all linked together in a super flowy kind of way it all just fell into place. Great conditions for the time of year just really happy to be out there enjoying it.

Fuel pump on the missus' car. It stopped on her on the way back from walking the dog. 100 quid for the pump 🙁 about an hour or so to fit it.

Just back from a meal with a couple of people whose family regularly appears on those 'Big Fat Gypsy Wedding' programmes.

I also made a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cake.
It was delicious.

Spent a fair chunk of the afternoon writing up outcomes that nobody'll act on and notes that nobody will read from a pointless meeting about nothing. So that was satisfying.

Shouted at some useless project managers, got in a paddy and stumped off like a teenager. Pretty constructive stuff.

Got myself sorted out as the only Botox provider in Morpeth, added a clinic at a beauty salon in Northumberland Park, meeting with a guy setting up a new business doing mens accessories that I may be investing in, sorted out two nights out for the guys and gals at work. Interesting meeting with a guy that owns his own bowling alley.

Not bad for a day off.....

The Pinkster - Member
Manged to Pee off a load of civil servants in central Government.

Which is quite satisfying

MrsT does that occasionally 😀

Today I decided to have a bit of a life spring clean early. Managed to upset works occ health by informing them I will not be attending my first aid refresher after 20 odd years being a first aider. This in turn solved an issue for my FLM who had to find cover from somewhere to cover the 2 days I would have been absent!

Today I continued with my "familiarisation/training" for next years de-manning exercise . If not one of the chosen 10(from 15) I stand to lose £7k = nae new bike/s for the foreseeable future 🙄

Yep. Thanks for asking, Neil - appreciated.
Just feeling like I do a pointless job and rather insignificant compared to the above.

Will be right after some sleep. Cheers again.

You see today me and my boy walked the dog, went to the woods, threw stones and sticks, went to the builders merchant, played with trains, played with tractors, had a nap, walked the dog again, went for coffee and cake, made dinner.

Much more satisfying.

ononeorange...if it's a job you get paid and if someone pays you it ain't worthless.
I'm assuming you don't do this...?

Did absolutely sod all, which was the plan I hatched as soon as I woke up. In my defence I do have a particularly nasty case of manful.

Made £123.70p busking for 3 hours with my Mum for children in need, although I was more the help and her the artist. Still, an afternoon well spent cheering up the locals and raising money for charity. 😀

I produced a graph that will hopefully secure a large investment to prove that a new drug I've worked on for seven years might become a new medicine for a nasty disease.

Not a lot at the moment. Possibly something quite significant when we find out in a month or two. Actually my involvement more or less finished yesterday, but that's when the thread started anyway.

Stuck up some racks in the bike shop to hang the multitude of wheels that usually lay against the walls, built up a Lapierre Audacio 300 road bike for a customer, treated myself to a pair of Castelli Sorpasso bib tights for winter riding (customer ordered the wrong size - but they so happen to fit me like a glove so i'm keeping them), priced up a multitude of Galfer brake pads,, sorted out a Jungle account so we can supply KS Lev seaaposts (the best! - what i use), fitted a new 750gb SSD to my macbook, finally got my mobile number ported over to my new 64gb iphone 5s, made a very nice ginger n' garlic/chilli/coriander strir fry for tea, installed an update for my Native Instruments music software that has went tit's up (as expected though 😥 ), drank some very nice glenfiddich solera malt whisky, thought about some new ideas for choccy products that i'll explore next week, and now just dicking about online before i pass out.

Pretty much a fine day all told..........

Managed to install MS Desktop Bing after procrastinating it for a while. PC got a bit weird today so managed to install Fixit for update. Think I have stabilised my PC now after few BSODs.

But I am still unable to install IE11 ... hmmhhmm ...

Not a bad day today: glued a door handle back on the wardrobe, finished the guttering on the workshop, fitted a new chainring and a chain device to the HT and got the wife to cut my hair!

Managed to go riding today and arrived at the woods to find that I hadn't actually put the front brake pads into my rucksack as I had originally thought.
Still went riding and managed not to die without any front brake whatsoever 🙂

Real Ale Wobble, then home to plant about 300 flower bulbs around the garden, then I dug the potato plot. And then I had a bathe and fell asleep in it.
