Ran alongside my toddler and the front of my thigh exploded in pain. A small section of the muscle halfway down the front of my leg now feels really painful (not a stabbing pain tho), feels really tight and weirdly it kinda felt like it was bleeding, kind of warm and wet.
Yes you will die, probably not from this leg injury.
Hope i dont worry you but the femoral artery runs down the inside of the leg, but that would promote a lot of swelling, drop in blood pressure, dizziness, feeling faint and a lot of continuous pain.
If you can reply to this thread int he next 30 mins, you should be ok. And the chances are you've pulled a muscle.
Not dead, woohoo!!!
It's still bloody sore tho.
I hope you told the toddler (in a big dad's voice ) what they had just caused. 😉 🙂
Kids eh,they (not the leg)will be the death of you*
* Oh and search somewhere else for more sensible advice
Can you extend (straighten) your knee against resistance? A possible significant injury could be a quads tendon rupture, but likely to be more debilitating than you describe. If you can’t extend/straight leg raise then you probably need to see someone, otherwise it’ll probably be fine.
Officially old now you have kids.
Wait till you have 'adult' children.
Broken, still faster than them.....
Sounds like your tore your quad a little, keep it moving and load ot as pain allows. The thing to watch out for is if the whole frint of your thigh gets red, swollen, warm to touch and painful, (compartment syndrome, call an ambulance) but tbh it's been 2 hrs so unlikely to happen now
A minor muscle injury and you've wet yourself.
Regardless of how painful it is, you still have to beat the toddler in a running race by tomorrow or he/she will consider you weak.
@shermer75 none of that, just a bruise at the site of the pain this morning.
Alas it seems that @shrinktofit is correct ?
