Gemma Hayes at Oslo in London on Monday for the launch of her new album, been a while since I last saw her play.
Angus and Julia Stone with The Staves as support at O2 Academy Bristol on 12 December, then Kate Rusby at The Forum in Bath for her Christmas Tour on the 17 December.
Really looking forward to both of those, I love The Staves, but their nearest gig on their 2015 tour is Oxford, and I've never seen Angus and Julia Stone live, so that's a win/win, and I haven't seen a Kate for a while, and she'll have 'her boys', the brass band, with her, so the atmosphere will get very dusty at times.
Hoping The Unthanks will play locally too, heard a new song on 6Music yesterday, and it's bloody marvellous, so keeping an eye open for dates.
And they're playing the Colston Hall next February, so it's tickets a go go!
Black Keys and then a few days later Noel Gallagher. Hoping to get Foo Fighters tickets sorted next week too 😀

corroded - MemberI have a strong suspicion that my girlfriend got me tickets to Slowdive for Christmas. Hopefully it won't be awkward that she's my ex-girlfriend now.
You want to know what's super mega awkward? When this exact same thing happens with Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and she gives you a lift to the gig, in another city. And when you get there, it turns out that she thought she was seeing the metal bands Godspeed and Emperor, and therefore wants to leave before she even gets through the door
Black Spiders cathouse Glasgow
I've got Hookworms and Kasabian next week.
Both should be good nights out but particularly lookingforward to seeing the hookworms

Thurston Moore last night in Nottingham and JAMC next week in Manchester 🙂
Ah, double post thanks to router issues. Worth mentioning Thurston twice though.
Future islands in London
Alvvays in bristol
Fields of the Nephilim next month in Shepards Bush.
The one band I never got to see in the eighties. 30th anniversary concert. Very excited now even though it's gonna be the first concert I've ever gone to as a Billy no mates.
I saw FOTN on the Moonchild tour - well good. Not sure what they're like without the original members. Would still like to see McCoy's band but London is too far for me
Hadn't realised it wasn't the original line up but I guess the singer is the main draw? For the sake of £30 (and a 250 mile round trip) I thought it would be worth a punt. Saw that they were doing 2 30th anniversary gigs when I watched Goth on the BBC the other week and impulse bought the ticket at 4am.
I hope I won't be disappointed.
Damon Albarn on Saturday
Sharon Van Etten in a week or so.
@MrTall Shepards Bush is a great venue, who cares if you are Billy no mates, bar and standing with a pint in front of the stage or have a beer in pub next door before. Great atmosphere and easy to find people to chat with
Went to see Alex Clare on Sunday, what an incredible live singer! sounds exactly like he does on the album
@choclolate he played his only UK gig on MONDAY at Shepards Bush 😉
Got a ticket for the Manic Street Preachers - Holy Bible tour in Manchester next month but doesn't look like I'll be able to make it now! 🙁
I haven't lived in the UK for quite a while now and a few of these posts have me going "omg! are they still going' e.g Echo & the Bunnymen (Jealous about this one), Carter, The Levellers and flippin'eck 'The Fields of the Nephilim.
Anyway I'm contemplating the 'The Datsuns'in late December and have 'Black Keys' tickets for April next year
James tonight in Liverpool. Starsailor supporting them.
Kasabian in a couple of weeks in Manc. No idea who else is on the bill.
