I know this has been done before but I can't find the old thread so let's have a new one. What gigs have you got lined up?

I'm thinking UNKLE at Somerset house in July and if I can stomach the ticket price Radiohead at the Roundhouse in Camden. On Good Friday I'll be in Camden for Underworld which should feature a large amount of dad dancing.

It would have been Glastonbury as I have a ticket although my mother in law has arranged a family weekend away for that weekend (despite my telling her it was a weekend I couldn't do) so I now can't go 🙁

sean voorhees's 50 birthday all day bash at the temple of boom in leeds on easter weekend.

hopeful that drive like jehu and soul side will do an intimate manchester gig when the relocated ATP fiasco inevitably falls apart completely too...

Muse in Glasgow, with a mix of anticipation and dread 😆 If it's as good as they used to be, it'll be worth the mental entry fee but frankly I doubt it will.

Bruce Springsteen at Madison Square Garden a week on Monday, re-scheduled show from January. Was hoping to see a gig in NYC when we booked the dates but never expected to see the Boss.
Had to break my "don't buy from a tout/re-seller" rule to get a ticket but it'll be worth it.

That will be brilliant. I saw REM at MSG back in 2001 and it was fantastically surreal

Up until Saturday just gone, I had been looking forward to The Coral at MCR Albert Hall. It was worth the wait, a truly to gig! My daughter-to-be enjoyed it too as Mrs K said she was kicking away throughout, unless she wanted them to sit up!

Looking forward to King Gizzard in Sept now, keeping fingers crossed White Denim come back soon. Noel Gallagher in Lytham in August.

It would have been Glastonbury as I have a ticket although my mother in law has arranged a family weekend away for that weekend (despite my telling her it was a weekend I couldn't do) so I now can't go

Bugger that! I'd either tell her it's non-negotiable, the ticket has already been bought, or if she insists tell her she has to refund you the money because you refuse to be left out of pocket by her intransigence.
Anyway, what have I got in the future...
Well, I'm going after a Radiohead ticket, my usual gig-going mate isn't interested so I'll go on me todd and make a weekend of it, finding somewhere on Airbnb and catching the train up.
I've just had my tickets arrive for Ladyhawke in June at the Thekla in Bristol, I've got Besnard Lakes on the 31st at The Fleece in Bristol, Lush on the 7 May at the Roundhouse, Television on the 6 June at the Anson Rooms Bristol and Belly on the 20 July at the O2 Academy in Bristol, which is the day before my birthday, so it's a nice birthday pressy for myself having not seen them for twenty years!
Same with Lush, really rather excited about both of those gigs, Lush have new material coming, and Belly are recording new stuff, Tanya is just putting out a compilation of solo EP's, the last she's going to record, meanwhile concentrating on Belly for the foreseeable.
I'm considering getting a ticket for Larmer Tree festival this year, it looks like an interesting line-up, better than Green Man, and IoW Festival which I went to last year.
Shaping up to be a good year for gigs.

Unfortunately it is a surprise party (well a weekend in a big house in the Lakes – at least I am getting to have a day in a trail centre with all the nephews and nieces) for my wife's 40th and my father-in-law's 70th with my wife's brothers and families flying in from LA and Melbourne for it (hence the date having to be a compromise unfortunately). If I don't go I don't think I'd have a wife any more...

I can't imagine at 20 having gone to a gig with my dad; it seems completely normal now.

Under those circumstances, I think you get a pass! I'd be pretty gutted, having managed to actually get a ticket, but needs must.
Missed out on the Radiohead tickets this morning, sadly, they'd all gone in less than five minutes, on the Roundhouse booking office, at five past nine I was number 15,650-odd in the queue.... 😯
I might try for either Sigur Rós or Last Shadow Puppets in Bristol, both are rather appealing.
Forgot I've also got tickets for Dar Williams at the Lantern, Colston Hall as well.

Smiththemainman,The Alarm were great,I don't know if a lot of people were Alarm fans going specifically to see them,or if they were Stranglers fans who also like The Alarm but they went down well & Mike Peters was enjoying it.
This was in Liverpool last week so it's the nearest gig to home for them, maybe that's why so many Alarm fans were there?

Well, since my last post, there was an announcement a week or so ago from Lush that they would be playing a warm-up at Oslo in Hackney, for which I immediately grabbed a pair of tickets, and the gig was last night.
And it was bloody brilliant! First live gig in twenty years, Miki was bricking it on Sunday, apparently, but you could see them really getting into it as the evening went on.
Roll on the Roundhouse gig on May 7th!

[IMG] [/IMG]
[IMG] [/IMG]

Next one after that will be Television on June 6th in Bristol, Ladyhawke on June 10th at Thekla in Bristol, then another recent addition, Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle on June 15th at the Union Chapel, which should be a blinder.
Then Belly in July.
As an aside, there were a couple of women chatting to people at the bar in Oslo, who then came and sat next to me and my mate, one looked vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place her. When she went to get drinks, her friend asked if we were there for Lush, and asked if we liked Curve and Echobelly, to which we replied absolutely! At which point the other woman came back and said, 'oh come on, you're not doing that again are you?'; turns out she was Debbie Smith, ex-bass player for Curve and Echobelly, both of whom we'd seen several times, so no wonder she looked familiar!
Hobnobbing with the stars! 😉
