We're tying the knot in August and are looking for first dance type songs, nowt too soppy, something a bit fun. The current shortlist includes:

Madness,It Must Be Love
Tom Odell, Grow Old With Me
Arctic Monkeys, I Wanna Be Yours
Ben Howard, Only Love
Oasis, Wonderwall
Texas, When We Are Together
Kiss, I Was Made For Loving You (!)
Coldplay, Paradise
Richard Ashcroft, A Song For Lovers
Stone Roses, She Bangs The Drums

Were both 40 next year so you can guess our musical tastes from Madchester and Indie through to modern day stuff.

Any good suggestions out there? What did you have at yours?

Couple of our friends had AC/DC's Ballbreaker.

I therefore assume that he knew what he was letting himself in for... 8)

Not sure you can dance to these but here you go:

You dance gently to this ABBA tune ...

Or you can jump and run amok like ...

Probably worth listening to, as the title isn't obvious love song stuff.

Stone Roses, She Bangs The Drums 🙂

My mate got married last year at Worsley Court house after 10 mins of the DJ playing his own shit my mate's best man went up to the DJ and told him from now on he plays what he says for the rest of the night with the B&G full permission.

Stone Roses, Oasis, Rainbow, AC/DC, Metallica etc etc etc....... One of the best weddings receptions EVER!. The first and only time I will no doubt see a bride in full dress moshing to Metallica 8)

We are in out early 40's

We had Van Morrison - Have I told you lately. But we did then do the whole set list for the DJ through fear (and experience) of the DJs at other weddings playing the usual wedding mix. Got some great looks from my aging relations when The Cult came on! 🙂

My daughter had L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole, clearly I'm biased but it was an excellent choice

The most important thing is the costumes, weirdest wedding dance I've ever shot:

Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter - Iron Maiden.
You're the one for me, fatty - Morrissey
Love will tear us apart - Joy Division
I hate everything about you - Ugly Kid Joe

As you're the same age as me, I reckon they are all probably up your street. 😀
