Horror film to scare her. She will invite you home to keep her safe at night. 😉

I'm not really up on films. She says she likes romantic ones but she might cry. Come on just tell me a good film to see. Even crying ones 🙂

😀

"Eat love pray" is a nice thought provoking film. I'm not saying it's the best film ever but it should give you some stuff to talk about over a coffee afterwards. But maybe not if you're young?

btw - its probably a "girly" film. If you like car chases and explosions - then no.

Tamara Drewe.
It's funny, romantic, light and unlikely to offend.
Also it shows the heroine with a propensity for sex on demand and starts with some beefcake to get your woman in the mood for lovin'

I enjoyed it, Mrs M enjoyed it.

Not a girly film...more often than not the guys are portrayed as a-holes.

A scary film may result in her wondering why you thought she'd like that.

I reckon a comedy...I watched 'The Other Guys' in the cinema with the wife and she loved it.

Das Boot.

Ace film, and if she's into submarines, all the better.

Took my missus to watch the town. The new ben affleck one. We both really enjoyed it. Action scenes for me. Hunky man with his top off for her.

Anything with zombies in it.

Or big explosions.

Or perhaps a film with zombies AND big explosions. 😀

She says she likes romantic ones

There you go then. And why would you need to ask her? If you're taking her out then you should choose. Check the odeon site by genre for comedy or romantic comedy. Tamara Drewe seems like a good bet though.

Can she read on her own yet and tell the time ??

Good point, if he texts her she might not understand, and even if she does the chances of her being there at the correct time are slim. Best just go on your own mate.

Is it a first date? if so then why going to the cinema to sit there for 2 hours not speaking? Surely better to do something where you can actually chat?

if it's a romcom you want, a mate of mine insists American Psycho is a romantic comedy

A Town Called Panic - pure ****ing genius, and if she doesn't like subtitles or doesn't laugh then you know she's a waste of your time 😉

Cinema is good for a first date. Cinema first, drink / meal / chat after. If there is a break in the conversation then you can always chat about the film.

ermmm how about an early meet - discuss which film to watch then decide on drinks / coffee (if you're driving) / meal whilst waiting for film to start...

As already mentioned, Winter's Bone is quite possibly the finest film of 2010 and one of my all time favourite films.

As a bonus, if she doesn't like it then you've received early warning that she is a terrible person!
