Give me inspiration... the IQ store is overwhelming!
I quite like the stock Fenix 6 one (I’ve a Fenix 5) but can’t seem to find that in the IQ store (have seen promo pics etc).
I quite like a BIT of data, but don’t want sunrise, sunset, last bowel motion on my watch, ta..
Also, though elevation is interesting, it’s soooo off and incorrect, that it just winds me up! (I know it’s off, because I can wander from home to the beach...you know, sea level...and it says I’m 22m up!
So.. if you give me names, links, or pictures, maybe I’ll be inspired away from the ‘analogue with 3 red circles at 6,9,and 12’ watchface!

Not a F6 owner, but I use Alfa-Zulu on my Vivoactive 4 and it's great.
I've disabled the second screen for simplicity.
It lists several F6 models as compatible.
Digi 5 on my Fenix 3.
Lachesis shade here. Very basic, I only want data when I’m doing an activity.
Another alpha zulu user, used it on my old va3 and now on my f6, display and customisation is ace. I get everything I want on one screen and just disable the second - but good to know it's there if required.
Bog standard fenix 5 face. The one that was on it out of the box. I like to think of it as just a watch when not being used for tracking something.
As has been said. I’d say only go for the data you need displayed. I tried a few fancy ones out but found they can drain the battery more quickly than a simple one. Now just have a simple analog with date.
SHN TxD on my Fenix 3.
Really customisable, some nice ways of displaying data that aren’t too intrusive and hasn’t had any effect on battery that I’ve noticed, although the altitude (as you say) and the weather thingy are pretty useless so I don’t show them.
I use the Garmin Titanium watch face on my 5 Plus. A nice analogue display.
I use Simple Big on my 5. As the name indicates, it's pretty simple 🙂
Half Time here, something a bit different.
I like the look of Lachesis so might give that a try
Crystal.
Tried alfa zulu, it's a bit busy for me.
cheers all.. actually wearing CRISTAL currently... quite like that. Will try a few of the the others too, Ta

How are you all using your Fenixes? Do you use in conjunction with bar-mounted unit? For nav? Or mainly for the fitness recording and tracking? Just getting rid of the Garmin chest strap would be a big bonus for me but wondering how folk use them in real life..?
(Obviously, am trying to justify gadget purchase...)
I've got a small Edge 130 for the bike which I find it easier to read. Navigation on the Fenix is a pain (IME), the damn thing scrolls from the map screen to the basic data screens without asking, and the last time I tried using it (just a couple of weeks ago) it crashed. (This was running, not bike riding, and I should say it's a Fenix 5 without maps, just a breadcrumb trail).
Sportwise I use the Fenix for swimming and running. For shorter, more intense runs (doing intervals and the like) I use a chest strap as it's more accurate; for longer runs in the mountains I just use the watch sensor. I also like it for 24/7 monitoring.

Good question...
When I do 'proper' riding, i.e road bike with more stats needed, or MTB with routing, then I'll use my edge 830. It has the data screens in clear view, and can navigate off it. For example, a race with lap times/distances/elapsed time all in one place is brill.
I use my fenix 5+ (and previously my vivioactive3 music) for running, gym, walking (as the wrist routing is fine for running/walking) and general fitness and sleep tracking. Also, if i'm doing a 'tuesday night MTB ride' or a simple road ride, I'll just record it on the watch. No need to have a head unit interfering with lights, and if i don't need DATA, just tracking, the watch is perfect for that.

I had the problem with the watch scrolling from the map screen to basic screens when navigating, was pretty annoying. Was solved in the end by turning off auto climb or one of the other auto options, and it now stays on the map screen.
Also just keeping it simple with the watch face.
Yup Auto Climb and/or Auto Scroll will cause that problem.
Fenix 5X and chest strap for everything for me - handlebar mount for the road bike, on the wrist for everything else.
I am using something called ActiFace. It has too much data but have never bothered to change it.
I use data lover, have had it for a week or so and I like it so far. Just had the default before.
Stock Fenix 6 mostly. Although I do run this Casio one from time-to-time...
I quite often use mine when on the bike if I've forgotten to charge my Wahoo or just want a ride without fuss.
Have a VivoActive but use the Crystal watch face. Gives a good amount of data without being OTT; https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/9fd04d09-8c80-4c81-9257-17cfa0f0081b
Also I've got a weekly/daily calorie widget. If I'm being honest I use it as a motivator to burn more calories to eat more food and drink more beer. So possibly not the best relationship 🙂

I don't want much on my regular screen so I just use Organic. Looking at the stealth version of Polaris now though.
Another titanium on a Pro Solar prefer analogue screen.
I like a bit of data on mine. I use Actiface. I find step count, elevation, HR and sunrise/sunset times useful.
I've just installed Alpha-Zulu. It's ace!
I like Text Watch.

FaceIt with my 2 terrors 🙂
Aw... that's cute!
DrP
I use ActiFace as all stats in one place.
Colours etc are customisable too.
