have some cash for a new camera and fancy a DSLR im a novice at this
but have kinda narrowed it down to these two
the Nikon has video but the Sony has in camera image stabilisation
so what would be the best choice good people of the forum ??
I've got a Sony a300 which is a predecessor to the 380 and it's a really nice camera. Basic in SLR terms, but fast and responsive and all the main settings easily accessible.
Got an eye out for an a700 on ebay...
Not tried the Nikon but I'd say you can't go wrong either way. Nikon possibly have a wider lens selection but Sony can use all the old Minolta lenses as well.

DPReview[/url] has reviews of both and really rates the Nikon, though the Sony doesn't fare as well.
