Hello,

Trying to understand if this is a good deal without filling out loads of online forms for quotes.

2 bikes:
Bike 1: On-One 456C, number of years old, worth not much now, £1500 when new
Bike 2: Spesh Hardrock, worth almost nothing now, £500 when new

Home contents with bikes away from home: £160
Home contents without bike cover: £120

£40 for the bikes for the year - is that around the right price or could I get a better deal with bespoke cycle insurance?

Thats just using GoCompare.

£40/Year sounds great value but read the small print as to what is covered and where it's covered, then what you get back if they are nicked!!

Mine are on my home insurance for a similar cost - the cover probably isn't as wide ranging as on a specific policy, but as far as I'm concerned, if someone breaks into my garage and takes one or all, then they are all covered, and I couldn't afford to replace them all myself. If one gets nicked while I'm out and about with it, it probably won't be covered, but it's just the one and I can probably afford to replace it.

That's good. I pay an extra £80 a year to cover the bikes over £1k.

An extra £18 per month for my bikes through AA home insurance, but that includes home and away cover for all specified bikes. (One of mine is £3500.)
