I have an old Pentax K100D (6mp) - the body is playing up, often doesn't take pics, and seems very fussy on what batteries at times.
But there are also a couple of kit lenses and a lovely old glass 50mm manual lens.
It is an old tool now - just pop it in the WEE recycling with the old phones I need to bin?
As a very general rule of thumb, bodies depreciate like phones but glass often tends to hold value. More so if it was high end in the first place, less so if it's manually operated. It's almost certainly worth a trip to CEX / Cash Converters / ebay et al with the lenses ahead of just binning them. A charity shop even might welcome them.
I don't know that particular model so can't comment, @molgrips is probably your man here.
Of course, I have bought off them in the past...
My old Pentax manual primes got a lot of interest when I stuck them on gumtree. Not serious money, but there was definitely a market for them
Ffordes?
Ffordes?
The one in Rufford?
Your lenses will appeal to the owners of micro 4/3 cameras.
They’ll double the effective focal of that 50mm prime, into a fantastic portrait lens.
Also worth looking for any charities that do photography for under-priviledged kids etc. They might take older kit off your hands. We are looking to do this w some old darkroom stuff and an older Sony digital DSLR.
When I got rid of mine, I just sold it as a bundle for a price that was attractive to a buyer but that was all fully working and I just needed the space.
When mum charged me with getting rid of my dad's when he passed I gave the camera and the kit lenses to someone off here for their child who was getting into photography. I sold the expenses lenses via Park Cameras and got decent money
