This year was 21's and the occasional 20. Next year challenge is for 20's and maybe a 19 on the right day.

Been looking at the Murray river ride 1850Km. Some long sections without habitation. Just need to find a willing accomplice.

Ride the Way of the Roses for charity with my youngest brother.
Ride 100 miles in one go (will happen if I get a place in London 100).
Become a dad again in April.
Finish decorating our hopefully complete extensions before our imminent arrival.
Try to be more chilled out.

This is pretty massive for me - find a new job. Find a new job I'm happy with.
Not in work, got money and time, got a hint of an idea.
If I don't do it now, I might as well.. well, you know.

1. Get married 🙂
2. Live with partner for first time in 20 years 🙂
3. "Inherit" 1 x teenage & 1 x 20 something daughters 😕
4. Stop tinkering with bicycles
5. Fix Bertha

1 to 3 aren't really challenges as they are intrinsicly linked but getting round to fixing a 17 year old Italian motorcycle now that is a different story.

Love these.

2016 is the first year in my 4 year plan to enter and complete the Highland 550 (given I'm a bikepacking noob).
So for 2016:
- Welsh Ride Thing
- BB200
- Possibly a South Downs double

Simple - just to be able to get back onto a bike.

Remain healthy, with no long periods of inactivity due to injury etc.
Get fit enough to compete in some sort of race
Start running/orienteering again (see above)
Get some form of social life (see above, go running with the hash)
Sort out my life

Nothing bike related really, I always aim to get over 2000 miles on the road bike but that never happens. Want to learn to ski or board and I just want to ride my mtb more in different places tbh. And continue putting on some muscle. Maybe do tough mudder again if my knee will let me.

Ski more this winter (if we have one)

Half Marathon in March

Cycle from the Idaho border to home (east of Seattle) on the John Wayne Pioneer Trail - bike packing style.

Do some mini bike overnights after work in the summer.

Do some of the NW Epic long distance XC races.

?Seattle Marathon?

Hmmm, 12,000 road kms maybe? And get down to a 32" waist for the first time in 20 years. One may follow the other

Score more national rank points than I've ever done in one season yet, and not be last in a NPS race. A mix of xc and endurance races next year.

Well, a couple of people have floated the idea of a euro roadie trip (Pyramees or the Alps) to me.

And I've been thinking that I should do the 7-8 hour mixed route round the Cairngorms that I used to do BITD.

Plus, there that Round of Alford thing some people were mentioning on the #Jennride thread.

In order to do any of these I need to lose weight and get bike fit. I was this 3.5 years ago so there is no real excuse.

I also have some longstanding personal issues that need resolved (one way or another). But then, who doesn't.

Will the gravity of the planet be affected if all the weight loss mentioned in this thread is actually achieved?

Now the challenge should be to do the tour of the peaks in a day - 70 miles and 300m of climbing , should be doeable

Learning to ride a horse.

Riding a horse in the Alpujarras whilst having a new bathroom installed.

Getting home and luxuriating in the new bathroom.

Happy days.

Aiming for a solo 24hr race, mountain mayhem is top of the list. Still have to convince my pit team (wife and kids) however...

Ramsay's Round Running obviously, not on the bike. That would be silly.

BHF SDW in a day for me too. That's it at the moment as shifts and new baby don't allow much time for anything else.
