I could do with a printer / scanner so that I don't need to go to the office to print and scan my receipts, time sheet and expenses every month. The printer will also be useful for all the random stuff that needs printing like uplift receipts etc.
Can anyone recommend anything cheap and cheerful which won't require me to drop my trousers every-time I buy new ink?
Thanks.
I like HP printers.
WHSmiths have some deals on.
The 5510 is a wifi network printer which makes it easy to work with if you have a wifi network at home, failing that it will connect with USB

I got an Epson SX130 from tesco for £30 and it's been fine. £40 gets you the model up with wifi and a card reader. I got it from Tesco as it's local and I could take it back no hassle if it was cheap tat.
The genuine inks RRP at around the same price as the printer which seems odd as the ones supplied were full cartridges, last printer I brought they were a quarter full. 3rd party inks much cheaper online. It's an ok printer-scanner for the odd bit of printing and scanning. Scanner is useful as you can just use it like a photocopier. Photos look ok printed from it too.
Do you need a scanner? I use a digital camera for that sort of thing and the image quality is way better. Once you've knocked that off the list there's loads of printers that will do.
nickjb, I hadn't thought of that. so what printers are worth looking at?
i went into smiths a few months back for a new ink cartridge, ended up getting a new HP wireless printer for less than the cartidge cost - about £30. does the job no probs.
