Here's one of my favourite channels:
Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell
Videos, explaining things. Like evolution, time, space, global energy or our existence in this strange universe. We are a small team of like minded people who want to make science look beautiful. Because it is beautiful.
Let's see some other good'uns 🙂
JimmyDiResta - Man from Made Makes Stuff from Stuff.
How it's Made - an instiution
Meades Shrine - All things Jonathan Meades

Chris Harris on Cars is good but nothing for 6 months
GCN is excellent for roadie stuff
Same as the one a few weeks back.
http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/recommend-me-some-youtube-channels
And the [s]Hooodraulic[/s] Hydraulic Press Channel for a laugh (at least the paper folding one, and the cornstarch one).
... and now the ball bearing one
Photonicinduction is back since that last thread 🙂
GCN is betterer than GMBN, yet I'm probably waay more interested in MTBing. The GCN presenters actually have charisma and on-screen dynamism.
Documentary Tube - is great for weird declassified 1960s US Military films on atomic bombs, B52s and the ilk, which is great for gently putting me to sleep.
Steve1989 MREinfo - is great for similarly weird old militaria - eating 75 year old chocolate rations anyone?
... Odd thing is IRL, I'm not even vaguely interested in militaria. Yet on eweTube I am..
SV Seeker (scratch built origami steel boat)
Caseyneistat (blogger (the guy who crashed into a cop car blocking a cycle lane))
Kombi life (Argentina to Alaska in a VW)
Water Priory Estate (tractors and ploughing and stuff)
Car Throttle (cars)
Dirt Every Day (scrapheap challenge style off-roading)
Gallboys (Aussie caravanning off-roaders)
That pedal show - for making me spend oooodles of money
Davide Cironi - Car Pr0n in Italian, occasionally with subtitles.
Petrolicious - more car pr0n, this time from California.
19Bozzy92 - noisy cars.
Morph - yes that morph.
nyethermo - inappropriate use of gas turbines (some log burner content)
Slow Mo Guys is about the only thing I watch.
Luddite.
GCN.
And a whole load of Country singers 😉
GCN
GMBN (as above GCN is better)
Salomon Running
CyclingNews
VeloNews
GCN have shown where the future of cycling media is likely to be going IMO, and I think with time it will eat further into mag/paper sales.
Von Ketteringham - it's err... about painting toy soldiers for wargaming.
I haven't wargamed for about twenty five years but VK is my cousin and was my main opponent so I still enjoy watching what he's up to and he is an amazingly good painter.
I've posted my (many many) recommendations before on other threads so I won't repeat them - but if the OP enjoys explanations then try

He does really nice little intuitive animations to explain all kinds of things from electronics to calculus to quantum entanglement.
I really like his explanation of electricity using differences in height to represent differences in voltage.

Even reading this makes me cringe. And the Engineering Family need to be sued for false advertising or something. I have certainly never seen even the most basic engineering principles explained on their channel.
