My eldest lad in particular wants for nothing. Recently turned 15, has everything he needs for cycling so that’s a non starter. Not as into gaming as his siblings either
Does like languages, Spanish at school which he aces and plays a lot of duolingo - any language related suggestions?
Maybe a santas list thread would generally provide a bit of inspiration??
Bargain easyJet flight to Spain for the day?
Nice clothes?
Spanish film at the local independent cinema?
Local Spanish restaurant?
TheDTs beat me to it.
Son is 23, so getting clothes, daughter 20, so clothes, and asked for 'cable management' for her room as she's into gaming (Xbox/PS/Switch/laptop and PC) - this morphed into a new worktop that she 3d designed so her chair will fit in better, so all I needed to do was cut the wood to shape, and get all new exension leads and cable managment. All super tidy and done two weeks early.
Son - 15 - trainers and a tracky
Daughter - 13 - beauty products.....
No kids so bought my mates kid (15) an Xbox series X to replace his twice repaired 8yr old Xbox as it’s knackered, also a Stüssy t shirt/Stüssy key ring, selection box of nice vocation beer and One of these handheld hyper tech arcade game machines
Our kids are 20 and 17, have part time jobs and buy what they want when they need it, so it's a dilemma. Last year eldest got a full LBS service for his uni hack bike, not told me what he wants this year.
Daighter wants a couple of music bits. Wife "doesn’t need anything", God help me.
So far they are getting an inappropriate WTF notebook each.
A lesson in the harsh reality of life in a cost of living crisis.
Not a lot i think... Although he's still got 2 guitars this month, one of which will come out of Xmas money from people.
I think the rest are cycling related though sorry.
SingletrackWorld subscription?
Failing that Gliding Club membership if one locally or maybe some pre-16th birthday driving lessons (on private land) so he can get used to clutch, brakes and err... doing donuts?
My son is also 14, he also said there was nothing he wanted for Christmas.
ohh the world has changed
13 year old grease ball... Nike Air and trackies ...
9 year old princess.. Clothes and such!
DrP
Just been looking at flight simulator experience for my nearly 16 year old, could be a winner.....
6 month old will be geting his turkey dinner and some teething rings + clothes ........ hes outgrown everything we have.
the 4 year old is getting lego. recycled Lego from FB market place. 3 large storage boxes with loads of Lego city / rescue / Space kits. might be missing pieces etc but still seemed much more fun than the 1 maybe 2 small kits we would have got for the same cash - which would invariably end up with missing pieces.....
downside is - I will end up standing on lego 🙁
2year old getting
KRS balance bike (new and stupid expensive)
FB marketplace kiddy kitchen
A selection of lift the flap books which she can't get enough of
One set of grandparents getting her a toy pram and the other set something called a Tonibox which I'm still not really sure what it is
Croccs are lego proof 😀
I've posted this before but I'm still excited about it.

Can't wait for Father & Son pumptrack missions.
Thick soledGarage slippers
Gaming laptop for 13 yr old monkey jnr, future-proofing him for 4-5 years. Obv quite speedy but it'll replace the one he got at the beginning of Covid to primarily do his schooling, hence it's incapable of playing anything more demanding that Minecraft/Roblox. Old laptop will get a new battery and get passed to his mum (as she can't do anything personal on any of her work devices).
That's the only extravagance this year as the money we'd normally spend on each other will be going into local food banks etc.
Phoenix is 15 and all he wants is lego, none of the big sets he would really like though.
Liberty will be 11 on Xmas day so a double whammy there, she wants random cute and anime stuff and clothes
Shelby is 8 and he wants dinosaur, sonic the hedgehog and sensory related items.
They'll be getting what I can get for them, doing what I can but nothing major or out of the ordinary
Eldest is almost 6 and wants some Lego Technic, which is ace cos we can build it together.
Youngest is 2.5 and getting, against my better judgement, some musical toys.
OP - maybe some one-on-one Spanish language conversation classes for your lad?
x2 14 yr old girls – clothes, beauty products and horsy stuff (for one of them) and a SUP as a shared present.
Youngest is out in NZ and asked for a Mint Sauce top cap, Race Matrix pads and a Shimano bleed block which were all delivered early. Going to be the first Christmas without her

Eldest wanted money towards starting a major restoration of her Mazda now the EVO 5 is finished.
First bits arrived and we're built up but a bit too big to wrap up and put under the tree

Events.
I've said this before but a lesson I learned far too late in life is that we spend more time buying shit we don't want for ourselves and others, and less time actually doing things.
I'm biased but, book an escape room. You can go clay pigeon shooting from the age of about 8 I think? Archery. Axe throwing. Go-karting, quads. Show me a 15-year old lad who doesn't want to either drive something or blow shit up.

You've completed Parenting, go home.
That's seriously cool.
Boy (14) - a new graphics card so he can shoot pixelated people at even higher frame rates.
Girl (10) - clothes, makeup, ballet bar, very piece of merch possible with Stranger Things on it (despite her never seeing the TV show).
I was impressed that “mountain bike” newly appeared the girl’s Christmas list just this weekend gone, but it’s too late for that. Will surprise her when the weather gets better.
