Mrs Beener is an artist and has dabbled with airbrushes many years ago at college. She has expressed an interest in an airbrush and compressor for painting helmets and bikes etc.

Can anyone recommend anything that is good quality and wont be the limiting factor in results?

thanks

Badger Patriot airbrush.

Lidl are doing an airbrush compressor for £69 this weekend. Same as many re-badged compressors sold on eBay or Amazon. Fine for the hobbiest.

I would go for a Sparmax compressor and an Iwata Airbrush.

My Sparmax has given me faultless use for years, same with the various Iwata airbrushes I have. The Iwata HPCH is my go to airbrush for anything moderately detailed.

Another vote for the Iwata HPC series for anything to do with illustration work.  Can't comment on a compressor as I run mine of the same Hydrovane I use for all the air tools.

Compressors are noisy as hell if the standard piston type. Might be a problem or not.

I got a noiseless one - Like a fridge compressor - for my Airfixing.
