You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm still in, currently.
I'm now off work until after Christmas, though, so it'll get more difficult to avoid...
Going out tonight - Birthday bash, wish me luck!
apparently someone played it on the tannoy at a footy match at half-time for a league 1 match and there were about 7000 in the crowd - lots of people were apparently very very angry which is kinda odd and also funny that someone would be so bothered about a song game
ooooh still in, just had a false alarm tho. i reckoned 6 music would be a safe haven but had a nasty scare a few minutes ago. 'ah balls, they got me!" i thought, but it was 'only' club tropicana. phew, live to fight another day.
My 11 year old sung it in the kitchen yesterday.
Dammit!

You're still in - it's only the original version that counts, so cover versions, buskers and 11 year old singers are fine.
Of all the places least likely to get hit: Radio 4, PM program immediately before the reading of the five o'clock news!
Letter to Feedback going out in disgust!
That was close!

You’re still in –
Phew! My 7yo started singing it while writing her Christmas cards.
Radio 4, PM programme (FTFY)
I’ve been only listening to R4 cos it felt safe after a risky weekend away😩 bugger
Complaint filed. I expect an On-air apology tomorrow. And a small feature on Whamageddon perhaps.
Complaint filed.
So have I. I would gladly sell my house and all its contents to pay the BBC licence fee, but this is disgraceful.
Phew, first page clarification that covers don’t count is excellent news. I’m still in!
it’s only the original version that counts
If this is true, then my disappointment with Absolute Radio's cover they played, is rescinded
Oh I'll go back an listen then. About what time? I was in a meeting
EDIT: Mine was the second letter.
Worst year on record for me, out today! We did a quiz at work in our small team and we were in the music round when I started to think 'actually one of these better not be Wham' and the last question came up and I stuck my fingers in my ears shouting at the webcam 'this better not ****ing be wham, is it wham?!' but everybody was too busy laughing at me to clearly answer either way and I was in 2nd place so had to remove my fingers from my ears to tap out the answer at which point I recognised it as being wham as it continued to play. I then ranted for the next 5 minutes about how they'd just sodding wham'd me!
EDIT: Mine was the second letter.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001t9r1 at 28:18. They didn't read my letter 🙁
How many people have just been Whamed by News at 10?? 🤣
My wife Whamed me at the weekend in the kitchen, I didn't even realise at first!!

Phew. Survived a ukulele version at last night's school concert.
Went a football match today - no PA at Tranent FC, so result! I'm still standing.
(Tendonitis - no riding)
Given the fuss they made about Northampton Town, how many thousands were taken out at your game?

Given that there's around 52k at the game, I think that can be described as a nuclear strike
I'm feeling quite pleased with myself. I've never made it past day 3 before, but I've been off with covid for a week and have been listening to nothing but Bach, The Pet Shop Boys, and some of those essential mixes posted last week.
It's now getting quite close to Xmas, so I'm beginning to think I might do it.
... unless one of you sneakily mixes it into one of those essential mixes somehow.
I'm out!
My bloody family! I introduced the idea to the family chat group and my de3ar nephews and sister have been whambushing me and finally got me today. Bunch of swines
All the way until today, walking back into a hotel lobby.
I thought I would be safe in Kazakhstan. But no..
I'm still in 🙂 even managed to not hear it at our Xmas gathering. In fact, several of us were expecting to be out after that! Time yet I guess...small victories thus far.
Thoughts and prayers for the fallen, fingers crossed for those still in!
Barely heard any Xmas songs at all this year until tonight, now playing a game of Whamhalla Roulette, playing "Best music Xmas" on freeview ch.65 in the background. 😆
Just had the song I was convinced was Macca as a kid, Freiheit's Keeping the dream alive from '88.
My own husband. Christmas mix. Sigh.
Still in, but only just! This morning a piece about the Christmas number one camera on Radio 4. 'Google radio off'! Just in time.
I saw on the BBC website it's a contender, that's going to make the last few days a bit harder. It's not going to get me though.
Ditched Radio Scotland's "news" programme this morning because of Christmas No. 1 wittering. Like Covid, there is a lot of it about.
Tuesday evening. Gathering for a carol singing event and it came on the muzak playlist in the pub. I looked the landlord in the eye as I was ordering a pint at the time and he grinned. He knew.
I read that as Police interviewing the sound engineer....
I’m still in
I spoke too soon, as now I'm most definitely out. 😫 Bollocks.
Winter solstice ride out with some of the gravel gang, and the cafe stop did for me. No music playing when we got there, thought I was safe, just sat down, on come the tunes. First tune on, Wham sodding Wham. They even played it twice. Raging. 🤣🤣
BBC news trailing an upcoming piece about the Christmas no. 1. If I wasn't home early I'd not have seen it. Bloody generous bosses!
Apparently it is this year's Christmas number 1...
I’m still in! Shocked - this is by far the furthest I’ve got…
Just been played on BBC news, reporting it being Xmas number one.
A massacre.
Who’s watching the George Michael gig on BBC4?
