I had a friend called Joe,
When friends were hard to find,
He had a restless soul,
And something on his mind,
One day I went away,
and then returned to the scene,
Not to find restless Joe no,
But to find...

All together now...

Ah memories, in two years at sixth form in the mid-late 90s we saw Ash (secret-ish pre Glasto gig), Rootjoose, Wildhearts, 3 Colours Red, Therapy?, Echobelly, Sleeper, Feeder, Reef, Terrovision... The Wildhearts were awesome, still one of my favourite bands.

In vaguely related news, I'm going to see Gun on Friday.

Twisted and twined, twisted and twined, yeah.
Saw them at the Manchester Academy back in the day and they were great.

And I'm off to see Therapy? (again) next week 🙂

I saw reef about a week before they got famous in that sony minidisc ad.

they were awful. lead singer was so drunk he kept falling off the stage.

I saw them at Donington where they had the unenviable task of following Sepultura. They were amazing, just came straight out and prevented the inevitable bottling by doing heavy-metal versions of all their songs. Great stuff 😀

I saw them subsequently and they were much better. but it kinda amazed me seeing them on TV after that performance.

Remember seeing Terrorvision at Leeds Met. Tony bounced on stage, in an orange boiler suit, announced " We're Terrorvision from Bratfud" and the rest got lost in a massive mosh pit. Happy days.
