What you doing on this vey wet Bank Holiday?
Me, I'll mainly be tidying the garage, bike fettling then having a run on the treadmill if it hasn't stopped raining by the time I finish in the garage.
What about you?
Going to the local Dogs Trust to find a potential new best friend 🙂
Quick road ride before the rain for me.
I've come into work - I'll take a day off another time when the weather is better!
Plans for the day abandoned! It's so hideous outside, we haven't even bothered getting dressed. Me and the kids have just watched the Muppet Movie from under the duvet. Just about to do a big roast as its like winter out there! Comfort food required methinks 🙂
Gannin along the Great North Road to see the Blaydon races.
It's a bit dull but not rained here [NE] yet, already been out for 50 miles road ride so reading and snoozing for the rest of the day I think
waiting to see if my (outdoor) shift is on or not, and otherwise updating my CV, trying to work out what i want to do with my life (suggestions on a postcard), and probably a lot of STW/FB/iplayer...
We went fora ride round the water park before it got really wet. Balance bike, gf on her mountain bike with kiddie seat and me on my mega. Felt a smidge over biked tbh 😉
Lena only had one off, cried then got up and checked her bike was ok. She's learning well!
Already been out on my road bike after shaking off the hangover.. working 3-10 and get a day off in lieu for my troubles, can't complain!
I was going to go on a hillwalk, but am resigned to watching TV and tidying the house.
Charging the balance board up for a snowboarding comp o the wii 😀
Just a bit grey with small showers so may ride over to the Hope Show, otherwise an afternoon trail session beckons. (after painting the shelves and reattaching the cupboard doors I removed on Sat and painting the pan rack, sorting the shelves under the sink and sorting the freezer - could be a short ride!!)
What is this Bank Holiday of which you speak? 👿
was going to CYB, but we got back later than planned last night, so far been to Sainsburys and just made a shredded ham hock and bbq sauce roll for lunch, may pop out this PM in the car and will probably also bleed the brakes on the bike ready for next weekend, would like to head to the gym later on too.
Fixing my laptop then having a good clear out & try to flog a few things...
Anyone want to buy my old stuff?
I am slowly realising I am just going to spend the day tooling about on the interwebs, unless I can get my arse in gear.
Just getting sorted to head over to a 10 mile TT,
Event not til 4.00pm near Tring, do you think i'll get a ride?
Was out at Lidl first thing to buy some cheap cycle gear. Followed that up by taking the dog for a walk. Will very soon be swearing at tools in the garage as I give the Karate Monkey an overhaul.

Rode yesterday thank god just about to leave for the Lakeland Motor museum then a nice pub for tea. Then evening will consist of tinkering in the garage and asssembling a tool chest!
Debating options of going without gym membership, or losing fourty pcm quid to join local DW...(had enough of p*** stinking changing rooms at my usual haunt).
Just wormed the cat as well.
Sorry John in my slightly tired state I read that as "West Bank holiday plans"
I thought blimey that's an adventurous destination!
i went for a walk up pen y fan to watch the sunrise. epic fail. now nodding off on the sofa at 3;30
Miss CD has to work today so I got up at the same time as her with the idea of getting a ride in before the rain. The rain started within 30 seconds of leaving the house and I was completly drenched by the time I returned 2 hours later. Was worth it though.
Now eating my way through a pack of custard doughnuts whilst playing with my new S3.
Got up early got a quick pre work/rain ride in. Now at work, bored. gonna peel an orange, then eat it.
Erm few beers last night at the official opening of my O/H's bosses new pub/restaurant, Sharps Doombar anyone, so today I have managed a cooked breakfast (about 1pm) and caught up with Great British Bake Off, and now a cup of tea with some jam tarts whilst we curl up on the sofa
hour and a half on the road bike earlier(dry)
bit of gardening and just about to go on our bikes with the kids to deliver some party invitations (still dry so far)
/south coast riviera 8)
From my first post.....
Garage tidied, bikes fettled, dog walked again, but I can't be arsed with a run #SlobbingOutNow
did this to recover from 106km yesterday http://a-pic-a-ride.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/the-niches-ride.html
I binned all my plans- and then, it didn't rain for most of the day. grr.
I was planning on spending the vast bulk of the day in bed watching rubbish films on my laptop with the wife. Unfortunately I got out of bed at a reasonable time, went to B&Q and bought timber, then built a greenhouse.
I've just got back from a 4 mile run with the dogs. They are knackered and I am finishing off a beer.
I wanted to go out for a paddle in the kayak this weekend and didn't manage to, but it could have gone worse
