... Kept in the dark and fed on bullshit.

Remember all those claims over the years from Eurocrats of the likes of Barrosso and his pals about how the suspicion that the Euro-project was for, ultimately, a "United States of Europe" was just nonsense from "right-wing" Tory types and Nigel Farrage?

Angela Merkel yesterday: "The challenge of our generation is to finish what we started in Europe and that is to bring about, step by step, a political union". 😳

It was fun listening to Newsnight last night with Peter Mandelson explaining what a glorious success the euro was.
It was like a re-enactment of a STW thread earlier in the day 🙂

Has anybody ever seen Mandelson and TJ in a room together at the same time?

Life would be much more interesting in Europe if we all swapped those brussels sprouting nonsense for more magical mushrooms!

Despite this the mushrooms thrive and there's more and more of them.

We're all like mushrooms...

We all smell and taste disgusting and need to be eradicated as a supposedly edible foodstuff?

Angela Merkel yesterday: "The challenge of our generation is to finish what we started in Europe and that is to bring about, step by step, a political union".

Margaret Thatcher signed the Single European Act in 1986, which committed us to closer integration in Europe.

John Major signed the Maastricht Treay in 1992, which led to the creation of the Euro and established the EU.

Dude, we're nothing like mushrooms. If we were like mushrooms we'd know when to button it. 8)

And din't Edward Heath take Britain into the EEC?
