Not surprised, they're owned by Victorinox, so why would Victorinox continue to host a direct competitor in one of their main markets.

How can they be a competitor if they are owned by the same company? They get the total revenue of all sales regardless.

My Wenger classic is still going strong after 29 years. Bought it as a kid and still use it regularly.

That'd be really terrifying, Lawyers on one side and Accountants on the other side, stabbing each other with toothpicks and removing nostril hair with tweezers whilst trying to burn each other with magnifying glasses.
