Bloody wind! Crane cancelled and 500 quid down the pipe!
I didn't even know Ling did crane leasing
Is that plus VAT?
That blows. Hopefully you can lift your spirits soon.
Ouch. Never a good start. Bad enough for me having to commute in. Ging in late to avoid being blown into the rush hour idiots.
Hopefully he’ll be able to get going with gusto soon!
Wind your neck in
I just sat in the office and chatted to one of the lads about making sure he sets up a dart charge account for the crossing as it's automatic online payment now and really bloody easy to forget about until you get the fine.....then I remembered that we changed the car a few weeks ago and I forgot to update the details on their data base so looks like I get another 100 quid fine for my dozyness..... bollox
And..... a lorry has got stuck and a bricklayer jacked to add to the woe! Surely can only be on the up from here....
I'm having to start the week by phoning my insurance company after some twunt hit the rear of my car sometime over Saturday night and Sunday morning. Bootlid doesn't shut properly and I've just spent a load of cash on bike bits ready for the summer.
My car began clunking and squeaking very loudly from the o/s/r last night so I whipped the wheel off only to find one of the set of suspension arm bushes I fitted in July has completely failed! They're a real sod to change as well.
I was planning to start cycling to work but not until it was light at either end of the day, started early..
Jimny has auto immobilised itself for no good reason this morning after swapping a battery. Camper failed MOT for leaking fuel return pipe and I left my wallet in it at the garage after driving up to collect the keys. Had to go back to fetch wallet to go the other way to buy new return pipe. Wife drives me to collect camper to find that fail cert isn't in it and garage closed so need to go back tomorrow. 2 cars down. Land Rover has no diesel in it so its an out of the way garage on the way to work tomorrow. Left important saw for kids wood work at school in Jimny but luckily there was one in Landy. A 2 foot bow saw. Could let the 8 year old nutters loose with that! Washed 2 sets of cycling kit before work only to be told off when she got in as I didn't know to wash her wool long johns which were hidden in her rucksack.
However my morning ride was great, warm and the fastest of the year. The worst nutter of the class enjoyed hammering nails for 90 minutes thus keeping him "quiet" and the two 7 going on 3 year old travellers in the class have moved up the road. Nice kids, pain in the arse to teach.

😀
Pump blew on glycol chiller . 6 hours of unpaid weekend work to bodge a fix that kinda worked.
Driver of van drove into back of stationary car at a roundabout and the lady driver had to go hospital. Van has a busted rad and headlight so is stuck 70 miles away.
worker #2 smashed some kit, didnt apologise or clean up the broken glass .- Thanks
Allowed for as part of your 'risk pot'?
If it was a one day or very short hire that's a pain but wind in excess of safety limit is likely in January - No?
Last time I was involved with crane hire was a saddleback to overfly a 15 storey resi development with the jockey flying blind and following radio instructions, That was fun. 12 months. First jockey was a rather chunky chap - minimum 18 stone chunky - who climbed 15 storeys up and down and up and down and......you get the picture.....every day; should have been fit as the proverbial butcher's dog
The Mammoet 750 tonner to erect the tower was......imprressive.
