...but I didn't know that one can live without a pancreas.

A guy in our office told us earlier that his dad had pancreatic cancer and had his spleen and pancreas removed in a 12 hour surgery.

He takes daily medication but is now back in work just five months after the op'.

Crivens. I am amazed!

You just need to take insulin and digestive stuff don't you?

You don't need loads of stuff that's inside you though. Spleen, Stomach, Colon, a kidney, a lung, appendix, bollocks. It's all superfluous weight.

I've heard some people are born without any bollocks at all! How awful! What do they scratch when they're bored?

Clearly you didn't read enough about the subject. It was all explained very well in the appendix.

IGMC.

They just go shopping for shoes/handbags.

Can you replace them with shiny titanium bits to save weight?

and

That's all you need.

How does one vent spleen if it's been ectomied? Very frustrating.

I know a good few people who could probably still function as normal without their legs, for all the use they get

I remember a lad who worked here a while ago (not the brightest bunny in the pencil case) was on about somebody losing "one of their livers" 😆

I know of a few Tory MPs and Tabloid editors who have been functioning fine without a brain for many years....

I've still got mine, but it doesn't work and is loads smaller than normal, on account of me not having bothered to use it for the last 21 years.

The natural equivalent to carrying too many spares in the camelbak 🙂

All these people who say the can't lose weight should adopt a weightweenies style diet/hacksaw program.

Does sir need all his teeth?
How much body hair do you really need?
When was the last time you needed your little finger/toe?
Why do you need 2 of some organs? Spare parts?
Do you plan on having any/more children?

If it's not vital for survival, lop it off!

All this having bits chopped off to save weight doesn't work; you just end up laid around recovering afterward and replacing any gains with lard... :-/

A wandering kidney?

That's also a new one on me.

Apparently it just pisses* off for a wander around your pelvic region.

*clever renal association

Yep, managing perfectly well without a colon here. Added bonus - no ring sting after a ferociously hot curry!
