You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Riding home tonight, heading into the supermarket carpark and there is a small queue of traffic waiting to turn to their right to get into the carpark - i'm turning left.
Approaching the left hand turn already indicating and no more than 20 feet away from the turn when the vehicle at the head of the right-turning queue decides to cut me up and dive into the gap, causing me to grab a handful of brakes and call him a couple of rude names.
I followed his car into the car park and deliberately sat about 6" off his rear bumper for a little while, then realising i was being a bit petty i rode off and started to lock my bike up outside the entrance to the supermarket.
Just then this chap appeared, and started to apologise for cutting me up, and that his son is a cyclist and he normally gives them much more room than that!
I was so surprised i mumbled something about us all making mistakes and thanked him for apologising.
At least someone out there isn't out to kill me!
good on that man. too few people around willing to admit when they're in the wrong!
deserves a tatty up his exhaust pipe for doing it in first place 😆
It happens. The human race ain't so bad. It's just we only hear/remember the bad stories.
You both learnt something today. Good work
