What are your weird guilty food pleasures? Ones other people don’t understand or find repulsive...?

I don’t mean “a Big Mac” or “pot noodle” once in a while, I mean ones that you have to make or concoct yourself, ones that you have to go out of your way to be incredibly different/weird/disgusting!

So mine...

-Corned Beef (cold and out of a run), instant mashed potato (Smash of course) and peas!

LOVE IT! Mum used to make it for us when we were kids, but often crave it as comfort food when I’m feeling ill like last night. NOBODY else understands it! They all think I’m disgusting for eating corned beef and instant mash! Hey ho.

My dad has some disgusting ones though...

-Digestive biscuit, with a dairylea triangle on it, and a massive dollop of Tomato Ketchup on top of it! He’ll literally sit and eat 12 on the trot...

-A whole jar of pickled beetroot in combination with 2 packets of walkers Cheese & Onion crisps. He must piss Purple for days afterwards!

So yours...?

In white bread I hope!

That's my kind of post drinks snack that is. & I could easily demoilish a jar of pickled beetroot with some crisps.

In fact.....................................................................

Palm oil free crunchy peanut butter, reduced salt yeast extract and jam/marmalade sandwiches.

Oh and sliced banana in fajitas when I'm on cooking duty, drives Mrsgoat nuts! 😈

I like the occasional chocolate digestive with a blob of HP sauce on. Sweet and sour.

Any white roll (preferably a Morton Roll though) sliced in half with far more butter than is necessary in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Makes a Pot Noddle seem classy but is a good now and again when you just can't be arsed making anything.

Well not haute cuisine but "disgusting"? You have weird friends.

Doesn't sound too bad - assuming you're actually "making" the instant mash i.e. mixing it with water...

If you're just eating instant mash straight from the packet then it does sound a tad weird 😉

I used to have corned beef and instant mash mixed up to, not for a long time though (also works well with canned tuna + salad cream mixed in).

Corned beef, instant mash and peas is weird food?

Can’t say I have any really.

Also grew up regularly eating refrigerated slices of corned beef with Smash and frozen peas. Once had fled the nest I discovered that corned beef tasted so much better heated, or fried with a few onions.

There is (sadly) nothing in the OP that I detect to be

'incredibly different/weird/disgusting!'

Good, but not as good as scooped-out baked spud mashed with loads of corned beef and a little butter. Returned to half-skins. Slice of cheddar on each. Popped in oven until bubbly-golden. Served with garden peas and brown sauce on this side. Or (if adventurous and know what's good for you) - a nice drizzle of a habanero sauce on the spuds. Oh ye godlings

That's essentially Poundland pizza isn't it.

Marmite, crunchy peanut butter & ketchup sarnie - ultimate savoury snack.

I've been eating Marmite & ketchup sandwiches for years. With peanut butter though, that's just wrong (I tried it on the back of a previous "weird food" thread).
