I’m not a big fan of Geneva. It’s grey, expensive and boring. Th surrounding areas are nice though. Nearby Annecy is lovely too.

There is every chance though that someone else will be more helpful and say otherwise!

Geneva is a rubbish city for a trip.

Go to Lisbon.

If you do go to Geneva, take the train out of it somewhere nicer. Or hire a car and drive into the Haute Chablais instead.

Another vote for anywhere but Geneva

There really isn’t much to do there

As others have said - the best thing about Geneva is leaving it - go most anywhere out of Geneva and it’s great. Another vote for Lisbon here though - fabulous city break

I’m afraid so, took a day trip there once and despite trying my hardest I have to conclude that’s it’s grey and boring and they’d rather you didn’t visit unless you’re on business.

Great carpark though, best I’ve ever seen. Subterranean, air-conditioned with piped in music and, this was the biggest surprise, unlike any uk Carpark doesn’t smell of stale urine. Had a lift that popped up in the street. It was cheap too.

Its very close to nice places though.

As above, not fabulous. Natural History museum is quite good, but apart from that...

Basel is fun - small, amazing art & museums, bars by the Rhine, some lovely walks and riding in and around the city. If its hot, go for a swim down the Rhine through the middle of the city.

When in June? If it's the weekend of the 30th jump on a train to Montreux for the Jazz Festival. You can buy tickets from touts but there's a great atmosphere anyway (if it's sunny...) without going to a concert.

If you can make it for the 21st June then come to Lausanne for the Fête de la Musique.

Come to Lausanne anyway, it's much nicer than Geneva...:-)

If you like mountains, hire a car and drive to Chamonix. It's only an hour away...
