I'm normally a fairly calm sort of bloke.

A few things wind me up and state funding of religious schools is one of the things that does.

I quite like green spaces in my city and playing fields are particularly special given how little exercise most people seem to do.

This, frankly, is an outrage (insert Might Boosh image here);

Not only are my taxes being used to fund the building and running of a private religious school they're going to put it on a green field site and impose the decision from central government regardless of local opinion.

I love the (I don't) Tories and their 'localism except when the local opinion doesn't quite fit in with our doctrinal views' approach to government and the bleedin' LibDem lapdogs who now have to go along with anythign that the tories want as they desperatly try and salvage some credibility from their sellling out of multiple manifesto promises and pledges in the name of getting into and retaining power.

Once, just once, I'd like someone in central governemnt say, do you know what there's a lot of spaces locally that are blighted either by failed planning applications to turn them into retail units, can't get fuindign for anythign else the current owners want to do with it. So we'll buy that private land, knock down the eyesore that's there now and build a school on that. But no, they pick the playign field of a state school and use that instead because they know it can all be done from central governement without involving the local authority or people.
*shouts and swears ineffectually*

Well no one wants to be going to a school in an industrial estate.

The CofE have hundreds of churches that barely get used, even on Sundays. Maybe they could give up some of their land?

Michael Gove probably had it appear to him as an apparition, as he wrote another introduction to the bible
