Hi I'm setting up a simple website for a charity ride later in year. I want to put a google map with the route on it which then overlays our position in real time.

I'm a complete numpty at this, so I have the route in google maps. and I am going to use google latitude for positioning. How do i embed it in my website.

Apologies if this is a dumb question but i am not versed in the ways of website making.....

IIRC, don't you need to sign up for a google API key to be able to do it?

I looked at something similar a year or so back, there was a fair bit of coding involved. You might want to enlist some help if you're 'not well versed' as you say.

I'll bow to current knowledge though, it's been a while.

I can confirm that you do. It's only a short piece of code that you need to place in the page that the map will appear on.
