We used to be with Dataflame, but got fed up with them, currently dormant but looking to fire up a few domains for various things.
Dataflame offers 20 sites hosting for about £10 a month, but their service was so shoddy we would never go back.
So who else offering hosting for up to 10 sites for around £100-£150 year is worth looking at?
MediaTemples Grid Service isn't too bad. It has occasional periods of latency, but nothing too bad. For non-techy people the account center is actually quite nicely laid out and easy to use.
If you have someone that know's what they're doing and is capable of setting up and securing a web server then I'd recommend DigitalOcean.
We've been through a similar process recently - previously using Hostso, who were diabolical in terms of reliability, and after lots of research we moved to Pipeten. So far they have been excellent. Now paying £7/month plus VAT for unlimited sites, so very reasonable pricing too.
