Hi,
I am planning a ride with my 5 year old daughter on Sunday and have been checking weather forecast sites including BBC and Metcheck.
The BBC site shows that there will be showers all day (Cheltenham area) whereas Metcheck says it will be cloudy but does not show showers.
Opinions please on the relative accuracy of these services or recommendations for reliable alternatives.

This is Wednesday and you are looking at a forecast for 4 days hence. It's little more than an educated guess.
Most folk seem to have stopped using Metcheck since the owner was convicted of paedophilia.
I find that it also depends exactly which local forecast you choose, I find the BBC forecast for Watchet more accurate than the Taunton forecast when checking the weather for the Quantocks. I presume that it's because the prevailing weather normally comes from the direction of Watchet.

Slightly more long term than what you were after but I'm sure there was a similar thread on here about 6 months ago ie early Jan, someone recommended a weather service that the supermarkets (among others) use. At the time I remember it forecasting a short period of snow in 4-5 weeks time, lo and behold in early Feb 3 days of snow. Pretty impressive.

Personally I don't trust any forecast more than 48 hours in advance, maybe 72 hours if I'm feeling particularly optimistic (hopeful?).
I would wait until Friday morning before making any decisions based on Sundays forecast.
