Handy for the DLR tho.
I'd worry that I'd wake up one morning on a container ship to China.
If it includes the site where the container sits it could be a bit of a bargain. A studio in that area is probably around £1500 PCM to rent.
Does it come equipt with Russel Brands skeletons?
Where do you go weewee?
The lack of sanitary things like a flushable bog, is quite worrysome.
Does one have to squat and poop into a bag, and take it outside?
Not sure that's peak London, more peak tory Britain in 2023...
Presumably no need for mains sanitation with Gove And Coffey new regs for town planning and water quality and sewage
Won't it be absolutely baking in Summer, and freezing in Winter? And damp all rear round?
Not to mention only a matter of time before someone helps themselves to any valuables with a portable angle grinder?
peak tory Britain in 2023…
Not wrong.
"At the heart of our container house lies world-leading ventilation technology" - A window one end and a door at the other.
Surely we reach Peak London when someone buys one, divides it in two, lives in one half and sublets the other half for 3 grand a month?

Street view is a bit no from me.

You're going to be really disappointed when you hear how you can get into most houses... 🪨
"About the agent:
iad is the first European proptech unicorn"
I've just had my mum's house valued.
Three bed mid terrace, two large reception rooms and a reasonable sized kitchen. Same price as that, £75k.
Back to my native lingo, where's shitter?
That description is hilarious, especially so in the context of there being no bathroom 🤣
"...Empowered by this knowledge, you can effortlessly make informed decisions and take control of your environmental impact."
By shitting in a bucket and hurling it into the wasteland outside?

Next door neighbours garden. or fling it onto the garage roof.
There is no toilet in that metal box.
And londoners complian about rats...
Back to my native lingo, where’s shitter?
Behind the door, next to the kitchen(ette).

Unless the house is is in a realy bad area for drugs and crime, or in serious disrepair, £75k seems ridiculous. Are you Frank ghallager?
As grim as it is, I think I'll stay up North and park my breakfast in a tin shithouse 🤣

It's more than mine sold for, that went for just over £60k. This is for sale right now, right across the street:

It's not the most salubrious of areas but it's just poor rather than full of scrotes. I'd feel safe walking home at night.
It's what house prices are like here.
Unless the house is is in a realy bad area for drugs and crime...
...or just in a less fashionable town?

Meanwhile in Stratford..
this extraordinary home surpasses government building regulations
THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO!!!

Yep, you can see it in pic 18
This could be a way to get rid of my Son and build the train set of my dreams in my new spare room… Bargain!

Does it have a toilet?
Is that from £75k? The pictures are mainly pretty but there's lots of you could haves. There's a couple of pics of the empty "house". Bet that's what you're actually buying.

interesting.
Looks aboveboard, as there is a "snoozebox" facility next door, but i doubt the land will remain undeveloped (im wondering if its a site ive done desk work on actually, i think it might be). So what does your 75k get you?
I suspect its a bit of scam, in that it gets you the shipping container (worth a couple of £K), but they could ask you to up and do one at a moments notice, when the planning for the site gets sorted out and the decide they want to put 30 stories of similarly sized apartments on it.
Wont be long before someone offers that Japanese style "coffin" homes.
In many respects i think im ok with it. You dont have to live there, do you? might suit some wannabe highflyers.
Plenty of folk live on narrowboats with not much more space. If you actually own the right to stay there and it’s connected to mains water, electric and sewage then it could be a decent option for a single person working in London. If they can force you to move your container at short notice then you could just be buying a nightmare. I guess the acid test is whether you could get a mortgage to buy one of these.
I hope the shitter is adequate to cope with that avalanche of absolute peak bullshit in the marketing blurb. Given there are pictures of a wine bottle, but none of the washing facilities, it's safe to say they haven't installed it yet, and are probably trying to work out if they can get away with a caravan style cassette toilet.
As above, try getting a mortgage.
I can see these being used as pads for people who mostly work remotely but have to come into the city for one or two nights a week.
Plenty of extension potential, subject to planning permission:
Say goodbye to stuffy rooms and hello to a rejuvenating atmosphere that enhances your well-being.
'rooms' is a bit generous
I suspect they could ask you to move as well, like those "park homes" that seem to be unregulated scams.
does it come with the site?
I know this is a bit pedantic, but peak London was 2012.
On the downslope since then.
So it is a static caravan without the wheels, loo and shower?
No sign of a chemi-khazi?
I suspect they could ask you to move as well, like those “park homes” that seem to be unregulated scams
I suspect so, there will probably be a maximum number of days a year you are allowed to occupy the thing, and a stonking ground rent for all the 'services', so could serve as a UK address for various offshoring types.
Unpopular opinion perhaps but this wouldn't be so bad as a rental if you just wanted a clean studio/1 bed.
Given there are pictures of a wine bottle, but none of the washing facilities
There's a sink in 3 of the photos.

I knew someone like that, suffice to say I used to bring my own crockery and cutlery around when invited for dinner.
I worked for a spell in that there London.
A lot of people in the company, had a family home way outside of London, would travel down on Monday morning and stay in a flat in a crappy part of London and travel home at Friday lunchtime. Worked for them.
These could be an option for something like that lifestyle.
I think it's the people that run Snoozebox / Portable Living Group. Seem to be run by someone from Dubai for some reason.
http://theportablelivinggroup.com/portable-housing/
They already supply them for council housing..

Nah, we reach Peak London when they make the influencer video about how they're living the hustle and well on their way to being a millionaire.

Friends of mine bought a narrowboat, the husband was still working, based in Birmingham, the other half, who’s my friend, actually an ex-g/f, had retired and their home was out in the wilds of Cambridgeshire, near March. He used to travel over to Brum and stay in the boat during the week, then back home for the weekend. Saved them quite a bit, and once he retired, they brought the boat back home and have her moored in a marina not far away. There’s actually a canal spur at the end of their road, so they can bring the boat around, moor her up and walk backwards and forwards when loading and unloading.
They’ve just brought her back from a canal trip up around Northampton, Leicester etc, been away for 68 days. Difficult to do that with a container…
The boat’s 58’ long, weighs 17 tons. Not one of those little hire things.
