Shoddy finish on the tiling in my house. There's a thin wash/layer of grout on the surface of most tiles in the bathroom (been like that since we moved in).
What's the best way to remove it from the tile surface without scratching the tiles or damaging the grout between the tiles?
Thanks
You are best to remove the grout using a grout rake and then redo. Anything else is a temporary bodge and will need redoing later taking up more of your time.
Just read the post properly. To remove the grout from the surface of the tile use a thin piece of wood as a scrapper. We used an old plaster lat to remove the excess grout from porcelain tiles with no damage to the glaze
Toolstop were advertising a grout remover earlier in the week...hang on let me have a look...
Ah, it's by Vitrex...if it made it any easier for the extra fifteen quid or so, might be worth it. Mixed reviews though. 😕
EDIT: 😀 didn't read OP properly either.
Thanks
