Toyota Avensis?

Or Golf Estate??

Not the 2 most exciting cars out there, but they are on "the list"..

I like the Golf, but a 1.6Td "bluemotion"??? is there enough poke?

or the Avensis TR D-4D, which, well, quite frankly is better specced, but never gonna excite.

Help?

Please.

The vw bluemotions are the ones set up for efficiency/economy above everything else. So you tax bill will be lower but it won't be as nice to drive as the toyota.

FWIW the Golf estate does look good. However the Toyota is probably better.

Golf of course!! And the Bluemotion means you pay less tax (more money to spend on bike bits)!! The 1.6TDI will surprise you!

How depressing.

A case of the evil of two lessers.

Is there a cash option?

Wasn't there a thread the other day on the same subject, Golf Estate V Alfa 159 Sportwagon? An easy choice assuming they are in the same price bracket 🙂

What skyliner said. Try the golf. The new 1.6 is pretty pokey and it doesn't look quite as much like a fridge as the avensis.
