Help me oh hive mind.....

I need 3 x 14ft long sheets of 0.7mm thick, 990mm cover, 3" steel corrugated roof sheet (ideally polyester coated). Lots of places make this, but I'm having problems getting anyone to even quote for delivery if the order is less than 100ft in total.

Anyone know companies that will supply small orders - happy to pay delivery changes, but if they were Bristol-area so this is minimised, so much the better.

Thanks.

Where I used to work we sold our seconds to

http://www.panelsandprofiles.co.uk/

https://plus.google.com/105546667861176210046/about?gl=uk&hl=en

Could also try SIG, but I believe they are trade so not sure how possible this would be.

Lots of places make this, but I'm having problems getting anyone to even quote for delivery if the order is less than 100ft in total.

This is the problem, a rollformer is c20m long so to even tool up you need a minimum 30 or 40m to even make it worth producing to allow for scrap. Polyester is also cheap and nasty so most people avoid IME.

Where I used to work we did do a minimum order price,

http://www.tatasteelconstruction.com/en/reference/publications/envelope/panels_and_profiles/

Might be worth asking if they'll have any plastisol/HPS/Prisma/etc. Do not be picky on Colour. If you go Goosewing you will have a far better chance of getting something than if you choose Sargasso.

Even though HPS200 is far more expensive than polyester at a metre price you are more likely to find someone who can add your small order to a bigger run.

One other thing, do not get hung up on the cover width, it will be wrong! and the 3" pitch is what matters, different profilers produce different overall widths depending on tooling and on the stock they buy in, "normal" is about 1230 but wider and narrower is made.

Thanks all - my Google-Fu seems stronger on a Monday morning, post-coffee. Have a few more leads to follow up. Mrmo - thanks, all useful stuff.

Leku - good shout, but not long enough. The area is ~flat, so I'm trying to avoid any joins length-ways. Also, needs to be delivered....

Keep the ideas coming though - I'm anticipating several dead-ends before finally getting some metal to arrive on my driveway!

Couple other points to add, 3 sheets at 5m will be a ***** to handle, very likely to snap in the middle if the fork lift isn't very wide. The bundle, because it is such a shallow profile, will have issues with being crushed on a standard multi drop delivery. This knocks on to how it can be transported when it can be off loaded etc.

First 3m/10ft is the standard "stock" sheet. Lengths more than this aren't hard on a CNC rollformer, it is production issues and handling where your having a problem.

14' long may be tricky. If it's flat, what about http://www.diy-epdm.co.uk/?gclid=CJWWmaiYzr0CFWzJtAod_SUAIw

UPDATE: Emailed/phoned 5 or 6 companies yesterday - only 1 responded with a firm quote and will deliver, but the numbers look good so will go with them. Tinman Steel (via Ebay) if anyone needs something similar. As ever, thanks everyone.

We normally go to Mole Valley down by Bridgewater. There is somewhere locally though but I can't remember where, maybe give this place in Yaton a shout: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/cellulitepool/m.html?item=151270344288&pt=UK_BOI_Building_Materials_Supplies_Carpentry_Woodwork_ET&hash=item23386a4660&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

edit: Bristolbiker, I like their tile effect roofing. I think they use that kind of thing a lot in Germany. Will remember that for when I building some more field shelters.
