Quick PSA.

In the trees around Ordsall community cafe and in trees on a little gated area on the west side of Ryall Ave. 200+ mixed in with 25 + mistle thrush. As of now. Just had some awesome views so off for a brew in Chorlton and a read of the guardian 😉

That is all. Be quick though, not many berries left!!

Brilliant.
However are you sure they were mistle thrush and not redwings? From the same family so could be confused. Redwings usually in large flocks, mistle thrush usually one or two.

Mistle Thrush. I've seen them in small flocks a fair bit, albeit not as much as redwing/ff.

I'm a Marple lad myself. Seen Waxwing in Hattersley, Salford and Wythenshaw!!

nbt - keep your eyes on here - waxwing thread on that specific forum.

It seems to be a pretty good resource for local birds too. Though I won't be hanging around Adswood tip any time soon!
