Could do with treating a few waterproof items to some tlc but what to use? Is there much in it given I'm of the opinion most waterproofs are pretty rubbish anyway.

I’ve happily used Nikwax and stuck with it for years, it works until the DWR coating wears off, nothings gunna work when that happens. The visible water beading on my kit after it’s washed, suggests it works to me. I do run an empty hot rinse through the machine before washing the garment with either liquid soap flakes or techwash (it’s been suggested they are the same thing) & then proofing it.

used a few over the years, never been really impressed, kinda better than nothing, but not back to 'as new'
