Hi,
So my conservatory roof is leaking fairly badly from one of the roof windows that is no longer sitting square in the frame.
I've delivered a couple of tubes of silicon to all the areas where I think water can possibly get in but it still is.
As a short term bodge, I thought about sticking some sticky back plastic over the whole area.
I'd need a bit about 0.9m x 1.5m.
I've had a bit of a google and comes up with lots of sticky back vinyl wraps or films, that are mostly coloured. A clear one would be nice.
Something like this: https://www.stickybackplasticvinylshop.co.uk/1m-x-90cm-wavey-frosted-privacy-glass-effect-sticky-back-plastic-vinyl-film-1695-p.asp
Anyone have any other suggestions please?
We have had a few people ask if our vinyl will botch a roof repair.
It won't. It will not stick to silicone either.
Get the roof repaired, you will end up with botch on top of botch, and a leaky roof.
Getting the roof repaired is obviously on the cards, but is part of a wider project that wont happen for a little while.
A botch is exactly what I'm looking for!
A sailing shop might be able to provide sail repair film. I've got a bit in my kit in case I rip a windsurfing sail. It's a bit pricey though.
Piece of clear perspex sitting on top of quick and dirty wooden frame around window?
