Has anyone tried replacing the seam taping on a goretex jacket ? Was it successful ?
I've glued down a few errant corners of tape successfully.
I've also had two jackets where all the tape started coming away at the seams. After trying to glue lots on one I gabe up and binned a 2 year old Haglofs as they refused to warranty it 🙁 The other jacket was an Endura Convert that was well out of warranty.

No but I had a similar question recently and a lot of people recommended a product called Stormsure and similar.
But in the end I sent the (5-year old) jacket back to Arcteryx and they did an amazing job stitching the seams for free.
Thanks, I've got a 30 year old Moonstone jacket which is my favourite but the taping has given up. I've seen some iron on waterproof taping which is specifically for this and just wondered if it would work.
Alpkit do repairs on any brand I believe, well at least they did for my wife who's had some Inov-8 waterproof trousers repaired as they had a couple of holes.

I just got my son's jacket back from LSR new zipper and some patches, great job .
They do re-taping seams.
+1 for LSR
Another happy LSR customer here - wasn't the fastest service but did a great job on my lad's torn Rab jacket.
Used LSR on a pack recently, and they did a pretty good repair to make the pack usable again. V down to earth folk with good straightforward advice, not the fastest for sure, but I think they have a pretty good rep so they're always up to their eyeballs
McNett repair tape is very sticky, cut to shape that could work.
I sent a Karrimor GTX paclite jacket off to LSR for a retape and they completely screwed it up.
1) they put about 10x more tape down than necessary, covering most of the panels rather than just the seams
2) It all pealed off the first time I wore it, leaving a sticky mess.
I would avoid LSR like the plague...
Footflaps unfortunately being the exception that proves the rule
Oh, that sounds a bit crap, what did they say when you took it back?
Shame I was all up for LSR until......
Several of us said LSR were great, one person said he had a problem, which happens with any business if you ask for experiences
Absolutely but its unfortunate that a business that several of you appeared to have good experiences with seems to have got something so wrong. I'd be interested to know whether they sorted it out for him.
