Anyone using one at home from a domestic supply ie not pumped. Does it work ok and what are you using? eBay is full of them but probably mostly disposable junk.

For decades domestic water supply managed to fill cold water tanks in the roof of buildings on the tops of hills. Unless your windows are higher than your roof... you're probably going yo be fine.

They are not much use if you're in a hard water area.

Left hard water spots over our windows when left to dry naturally.

Yeah, you really need purified water with a Reach & Smear, otherwise you end up with loads of spotting as it dries.
We have a trolley one for the odd bit at work that combines a 40l tank with pump and DI resin filter, along with a 10m pole.
I hate using it and far prefer trad cleaning with dolly and squeegee.

Are there any affordable versions where they purify the water, tablets perhaps?
