Cos it’s fake...

The actual TW Yamaha watches are a quite a bit nicer.

What makes you think its fake?  Distributed by Amazon themselves with a 2 year TW Steel manufacture guarantee?

All the Y series are on offer, and the TW Steel VR46 version is also cheap on Amazon, but also on the T W Steel outlet page. Perhaps they've departed ways with Yamaha or similar...

Edit: You mean these:   http://www.twsteeluk.com/tw-steel-watches-yamaha-racing-collection

They are not the same watch.

Convincingly so nick. To the point they even have a  website set up to make it look legit.

The real current ones on the tw steel site  are primarily branded tw steel (ie the big writing ) and with smaller Yamaha branding under neath

Look much better than this offering.

As I said I can see why it's cheap and the strap change won't help.

Because TW steel have never made that watch. I’ll eat my hat if they’re on the TW steel outlet page, link me.

Other than Amazon the only place I find the watch in your link is various dodgy looking watch whole sale websites offering me any kind of watch for about 80 euros.

Of course its not!  They made a cheaper branded watch that Yamaha could flog.    As I linked to, the proper TW Steel watch is £500.

This is a cheaper yet branded watch.  If is wasn't TW Steel doesn't you they'd be suing the manufacturer / Amazon for distributing it and, do you think Amazon would risk distributing it at all?

Anyway, its not for me to defend, I don't need to buy one.

Stuff like that can easily get onto amazon, it normally gets shut down when the distributors find out about it.

But i’ll climb down, bit more googling and there is an official yamaha moto gp video about them. Id take the TW steel guarantee bit with a pinch of salt though, if you sent one back to TW id be amazed if they touched it.

It's just an older watch maybe.

Read down the page:  https://www.watchxl.com/wrist-watch-news/tag/tw-steel-watches/

Well, I’ve seen a lot worse costing a hell of a lot more, good value for anyone wanting a cheap diver-style watch for work or casual that’s going to get a bashing. Horrid colour, though.

Nope, I wouldn't put that on my wrist if someone paid me £36...

So I asked amazon, who replied their site in public view, 100% genuine.
