Hello. Is it possible to watch films on my tv through my I phone 4s or my iPad (older version)
I have the cartoon HD app which has some great films to watch
What leads/devices would I require without having to buy Apple tv

Bought chrome cast on a whim, past watching GCN on the non smart bedroom TV its not really getting much use. Maybe I'm missing something.

Apple TV best way. Chromecast works with apple for a cheaper option.
You can get an AV cable for iphone/ipad but it costs more than a Chromecast.
There is a cheap cable from iPhone to hdmi which is cheaper than some units.
Apple TV with wifi makes life easier if watching on the big screen.
