You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Looking at a house which is a sandstone Victorian terrace. Loft room is original but is uninsulated
Heavy googling seems to indicate I need to install permeable board or sheep wool insulation and lime plaster to maintain the houses moisture management.
Anyone done this, recommendations for installers YouTube video etc potentially up for DIY but likely to go for a trusted installer, just need to find one that isn't a cellotex cowboy
As you have mentioned lime and moisture understanding are useful for long term health. Also try these for some background reading;Â https://shop.historic-scotland.gov.uk/short-guides

At the end of the day your home improvement works have to be relevant to your use and cost benefit.
Also check any building warrants you might need.
No idea, but I can recommend a builder who does?
Rusty, happy to take a recommendation, they just need to be switched on and not looking to cut corners but obviously not outrageously expensive
Anyone else with thoughts?
PM incoming.
Speak to NBT - great advice, products that are breathable yet modern. Any plasterer or builder could use the hemp, Pavatex board and Baumit plasters they sell. They may have a builder who has used them in the area.
Do also remember, like a breathable waterproof, ventilation and fit are far more important than some wonder product.

Matt, thanks for the recommendation.
In terms of ventilation I was looking at this type of kit

I am taking it as a positive that the current occupants haven't bodged some modern materials in
