I did a month with Disney+ to watch the Beatles Get Back, and thought I'd give WOTW a bash.
I was pulled in by the wonderful filming and haunting soundtrack but god it's a slog. I thought I'd endure it to the finale (ep 8) only to discover to my horror there's a series 2!!
Anyone else feel my pain, or is it really good and I'm not so easily pleased?
Surely it couldn't be any worse than the BBC remake with Eleanor Tomlinson.
Season 1 was a slog, it was a slow burner that didn't quite show what the hell was going on that well, but season 2 was actually pretty good in the way it worked things and knitted it all together, some weird plot bits, but to be expected, they closed it down pretty well with the finale, then it got renewed for season 3 so it'll be interesting to see how they work that!
Liked season 1, even if it was bloomin obvious what what gonna happen. Season 2 however lost me completely and I stopped watching after an episode or two....
Watched ep1 of S2 the other day, after a long break. Seems to have skipped forward a long way.
I don't recall the aliens being that way from S1, so I think I need to watch it all again...
Only watched first two episodes, will definitely finish it.
Really enjoying the slower thoughtful pace.
We quite liked series one but **** me is it bleak. Haven't done series two yet, the world's depressing enough as it is at the moment.
do yourself a favour and binge hineas & Ferb instead. Genius.
I haven’t watched this series, but i have found with some of the disney content (and amazon) that they really drag out the storylines.
It’s almost like they’re paid per minute of content, and they’re determined to get as much money as they can.
I’m not saying that makes it bad tbf, but it is long
Haven't watched this WotW yet but sounds similar to Invasion on Apple TV+, just about enough happens to keep you watching but only just 🙁
Season 2 is better in some ways than season 1. Season 1 seems to drag it out a bit after quite a good start.
actually, scrub that, season 2 starts off a bit of a drag, but then gets better.
I was hoping for more tbh, not giving away any spoilers, but was a little underwhelmed by the 'conclusion' a season 3 will be interesting, not sure how that's going to work.
I watched 2 episodes and stopped.
Watch Dopesick instead.
I enjoyed both seasons, I find most series these day have filler episodes, I remember Breaking Bad having an entire episode linked to chasing a fly around the lab which was very dull!
Wasn't aware it was going to have a 3rd series, they did do a good job of finishing series 2, wonder what they'll write about
