Bit of a sausage session on the weekend with some friends. All minced/stuffed ourselves.

18.7kg and 25m long. Should keep us going for a while.

Saveloy, Stilton, Black pudding, Garlic/pepper & one called Geoff, don't re-call what we put in that one.

From the bag it looks like you all did away with Geoff. What did you do with the rest of him?

Here is the slab of sirloin I did for a stag party at the weekend - weighed just over a stone @ 55cm long!

Bet that tasted lovely, washed down with some Strongbow.

Edit: Curiosity has got the better of me, how did you cook it and what did it cost?

From what I've heard "White stilton" contains all you need to see.

Sliced as proper thick steaks and cooked en-mass on a cash iron hot plate - then slices and severed with chimichurri, curry roast potatoes and grilled veg. It overfed 13 people - as all you can eat steak - about 2/3 kg left over.

I get my meat from Tom Hixon of Smithfield market who do a delivery service for orders over £100. This was grass fed Hereford Sirloin and I would put it at a similar quality to the stuff I occasionally get from Waitrose Butcher - so prob a 7/10 ie better than average! £117 for 6.3kg (they put their weights as a minimum).

Bleugh!!! not mine. 🙂

Man I'm book marking that tomhixon site, just in cause that looks brilliant.

Love Pork and Stilton sausages, local butchers (whose sausage are excellent) only do limited runs of them.. an none lately.
